Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice zoo but a lot of the animals weren't out. We were not able to see any of the bears or the Avian center. There were enough other animals to satisfy my nine year old granddaughter, however. Wear comfortable shoes and arrive early as the parking lot can fill up. There's lots of overpriced food for purchase and gift shops with lots of inventory. They're building a new Asia exhibit (to open in 2026). There's playgrounds for kids in case looking at animals bore them. I'm glad we went but probably wouldn't go back.

Our family of 6 visited on our way through NC. Half of us (kids 9 and 11) did the zip-line tour and Ian kept us safe, having fun, and well-entertained. The other half (kids 4 and 7) toured below on the mule with Hunter behind the wheel and had a great time. The whole experience was well-run, professional, and great fun. We highly recommend this for families with kids of all ages.

Me and my husband enjoy hiking these trails. Quiet and peaceful is what we like. Some of these mountains are the oldest on the East Coast .

I had my five year old's birthday party here and she absolutely loved it. I did not have a private party and there was another party going on at the same time and you never would have known it. We had the run of the place. The staff was very accommodating, the table area we rented was large enough to fit our family and friends. They set up extra chairs and trash cans when you have a large group and food. I didn't use them for the party but they offer tablecloths, napkins, plates and cups with the party price. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We have also rented the place privately for our church a couple of times. They open up at 10:00am on Sunday mornings for us and let us have pizza delivered, it is wonderful. This is the place in Asheboro to take you kids for jumpie fun, all the other locations have a low ceiling and facilities for much younger kids.
