- mudcowGeorge Town, Malaysia318 contributionsGood museum, especially the Colonial section. We didn't allow long enough so will return another time. The air conditioning wasn't working when we visited so it was a bit uncomfortable. Most of the staff were very helpful and it was nice that you can get out without being forced through the gift shop!Written 23 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rosemarie GPattaya, Thailand66 contributionsGood way to learn a little history on how Kuala Lumpur starts as a city. We had great photo’s taken at the gallery. We are treated to a short laser show with a background history of KL infrastructures etc...Written 11 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AIDANADIAH@SEU338EPenang Island, Malaysia127 contributionsWhen we talk about museum, mostly is about history and arts. This trendy Bank Negara Museum showcase the history of finance-how Bank Negara made money, the versions of classic money and also got some art paintings by famous artist at the upper floor.Written 2 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- IRHSRochester191 contributionsBeautiful outside, with interesting exhibits of textiles and jewelry inside. During my research some people were complaining the they were now charging an entrance few. It was 5 ringit - about $1.22US. I don't know of many museums that are that cheap.Written 8 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Harrison F. CarterCologne, Germany10,425 contributionsWe wanted to see the building on a self guided tour whilst in this part of the city. It was good to see and very quiet.Written 5 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- wagetKuala Lumpur, Malaysia388 contributionsThe museum has a very good lay-out and has a lot of exhibits inside and outside. It shows the history of the police force in Malaysia and it also has a good display of weaponry used from the olden times. They also have a collection of transports surrounding the museum from tanks to a boat and a helicopter.Written 12 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RitaSelangor, Malaysia9 contributionsThe place is good for those u like to take picture. The picture is based on 3d illusion and it so cool.Written 15 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KM Lee8 contributionsWent there on a Sunday and it was full so we came back on Tuesday and the whole place was almost empty and we get to enjoy all the things on our own.
All the staffs here are very polite and pleasant that it make the place even more enjoyable.
Many things to try out and such an informative place for young children.
For such a cheap price, this place is a definitive must go for everyone visiting KL.Written 24 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - MichaelWoking, UK255 contributionsThe Planetarium was a great educational, free attraction. We went on a weekend during the day and it was almost deserted! They had enough exhibitions to keep you entertained for a couple of hours, and there were several paid for exhibitions available, however we did not visit these. We walked to the Planetarium following a visit to the Botanical Gardens and Butterfly Park as they are all in the same area. It was very informative whilst also being interesting for kids so that both adults and children can enjoy it. If you don't have something to do in KL then I definitely suggest visiting the Planetarium.Written 13 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Magdalena CardozoHarare, Zimbabwe52 contributionsIt's a beautiful place, clean, info and photos displayed throughout. Unfortunately, much is cordoned off and so you don't quite get the full view and effect, and taking photos inside is not permitted. They offer to take a photo of you at the entrance though. The ticket isn't expensive either, so it's still worth seeing. I had difficulty booking an uber due to peak time. One of the staff members (I think his name was Dodi), who was also at the entrance, made sure that I was ok and not left stranded, even though they had already closed. Please pass on my "Thank You" to him.Written 7 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Heli PHelsinki, Finland5,373 contributionsThe national oil company had an art gallery already in 1992 before the famous towers were built. These abstract paintings show that expressionism arrived to Malaysia late, only in the 1950's and has held a strong position in the local art world. One of the pictures in the enclosed portrait exhibition stands out as exceptional, the Heart surgery by Hoessin Enas from 1980 as the author is obviously the patient. Pop into the gallery on the third floor while shopping, the space is open from 10-20, Mondays closed.Written 9 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
