This museum is utterly charming and has beautiful attention to detail. The dioramas have incredible atmosphere. There is a lot to look at and take in and our children (aged 7 and 5) loved the interactive elements especially. I also filled in some large gaps in my knowledge of Malaysian culture!

This was a solo trip. Rm52 on weekday. It was quite good to see sharks etc minus the constant screaming of excitement coming from kids, overall it was fine. Theres welcome pic taken of u where u r required to take off mask. The pics cost RM80 above. Good experience but felt the overall trip is quite short n can be done less than an hour. Somehow i remember the trip used to be more exciting many years ago.

Didnt know there was live feeding by the divers. When i resched it was already the end and no mention was made as to whens the next.

It is a great spot to bring your kids or a group of kids to run around for an hour or so...it really is out in the open so the heat will take its toll. The splash pad / wading pool offers some relief. Lots of playgrounds and a safe space for kids to run around

Malayan Pewter, Selangor Pewter Malaya, Selangor Pewter Malaysia, Selangor Pewter, Royal Selangor Pewter - The evolution and history of what is today famously known as Royal Selangor is just some of the takeaways you will come to be familiar with after completing the guided tour at the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre. Tucked away in the suburbs of Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, this venue effecfively simultaneously achieves being a museum, a manufacturing factory, an exhibition centre and souvenir shop.

The interior is very well kept (including bathrooms) and our guided tour experience (which I highly recommend) led by the impressive Ravi left us with a deeper awareness of Royal Selangor's rich history and a great deal of appreciation for the level of craftsmanship that goes into their pewter products; the vast majority are molded and created by hand. Swing by on weekdays to see more of the factory in action.

With parking fees skyrocketing in shopping malls and crowd levels returning to pre-pandemic times, the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre is a fantastic alternative for both tourists and locals alike. The guided tour (or self guided if you prefer) and parking is free and the cafe inside serves up good food at reasonable prices.

Growing up in the 90s, the Royal Selangor brand was synonymous with pricey goods and the pride of the nation. Fast forward to today and upon spending time at the souvenir shop, you can definitely find many practical items at various price points. Pop culture based pewter such as Marvel, Harry Potter, Disney, Star Wars and others are definitely worth checking out while sister companies Comyns and Selberan cater to more upscale clientele.

As with most companies, I can't imagine how badly Royal Selangor was impacted by the pandemic and I hope they're able to find their feet again. With almost 150 years of history to their name, I hope this family owned business can still thrive and uphold their quality over time. This visitor center is a good way to showcase the best of Malaysia and exceeded my expectations. I'd easily recommend checking out this place.

A nice bird park. It is a bit rundown. Feel like little has been done to the facilities since it was built in 1991. However, it’s worth going to see the bird show and feeding.

It was a drizzling, so didn't get to stand at the skydeck. Personally it quite waste of time to just be at the observation deck as I'm not interested to visit skydeck.

Luxury brands in a luxury setting made shopping @Pavilion KL such a delightful experience. We found all the brands we wanted to browse through in this one fabulous location. I was happy to find me what I wanted!!! Happy Shopper!!!

Pavilion rivals many luxury shopping centers in Asia and the U.S. Would love to go back there in a future trip, this time with my family!

We spent two hours here and could easily have spent more time. Great collection of artifacts from Islamic traditions across the world (and over time). Also, interesting set of models of key Islamic mosques and shrines from around the world.

Came with my family this evening and enjoyed several different cuisines. Food was served fresh, hot, and fast. Here's what we ordered.

Fuel Shack - 3 burgers with large fries and sodas - Good quality meat and a great burger patty. Burger was good and fries were nice and crispy.

I Love Yoo! - ordered the yoo teow, butterfly sesame yoo teow, and sesame balls with lotus paste. Was fresh, tasty, and NOT oily. Very good.

Yong Tau Foo - got a BIG bowl of assorted yong tau foo; was excellent! Food was fresh, tasty, and perfect texture...and the soup was piping hot (just the temperature I like).

NZ Curry House (Indian curries) - ate an assortment of curries with different meats and veggies....good portion and very tasty.

Japanese food (can't remember the name of the stall) - got assorted fried tempura and udon noodles in soup....tempura was fresh, light, and crispy....soup and noodles on point.

Teppanyaki Malaysia - definitely fresh ingredients BUT a little bland compared to the other types of cuisine on the dinner table...this one was OK.

Last was Baskin & Robbins for dessert.

I spent the early morning here walking around the areas before the heat really started to kick in. Probably saw around half the park in only an hour and a half of walking with a lot of stopping for pictures (and also trying to figure out where to go next).

By 9:00 I was already starting to feel the heat but I was also wearing a backpack that was doing me no favors. Can get surprisingly hilly at some points which is something to keep in mind.

Overall though I enjoyed the relative peace and quiet offered by the space. I didn't get to see the mini waterfalls, butterfly park or mini stonehenge as I seemed to only walk through one side of the park, but I guess that just goes to show you how much there is / how spread out it can get.

It's no Gardens By The Bay, but it's well maintained and worthy of a visit alongside the nearby Islamic Arts Museum.

A beautiful temple tuck away on top of a hill in Kuala Lumpur.

Brought kids there to learn about some religious culture. At the time we were there, we were lucky to get a good parking spot.

    If you like a good night out with bars and restaurants ;
Take a grab to The Rabbit Hole pub which is at the top of the bar street .
Head down the street with loads of lively decents pubs/bars to choose from with beers at uk city centre prices .
Carry on walking and you will get to Jalan Alor eating street which is full of open air restaurants .
A great night in a lively safe area
