Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went with my wife there, in oct 2021.
It was sunny, very windy and cold day but still we enjoyed alot.
It was our first lighthouse visit ever. We kinda liked it.

Very beautiful bridge, the longest cable hanged bridge in the world. You can enjoy looking at this bridge from any angle.

The museum is worth a look to get a feel for local history. There is some signage in English. There are restrooms. Cannot say anything about pricing and discounts as we saw it on a city walkng tour.

Spectacular sight and worth walking along the Marine Terminal to see the variety of shipping beneath the bridge as well as driving over it.

Though a short brief 30 minutes trip, this has been quite educational for our 7yo asking questions and thinking people living inside a submarine.

The fact that it's a rather hands-on experience for the little ones it helps with the appreciation. It would be really good to see this attraction gets preserved and developed: for the exhibits to show in more languages and showcase some videos with sound how the equipment was worked out by the operators.

Those little bends and crossing from one compartment to the other adds to the kids' excitement, not forgetting turning all the knobs/valves and seeing the captain's room, the bunk beds and torpedo storage!

This is the main (if not the second main) street facing the port, where majority of the restaurants, shopping malls are gathered. Plenty of architecture for the pleasure of the eyes, way of life of the locals, and place of convenience.

We spent quite a lot of hours walking up and down since we stayed close-by and visited a lot of restaurants located on this street.

It's probably a less than 2 minutes ride up or downhill. Waiting time not more than 5 minutes. The ride itself is quite enjoyable especially for children. The best way to organize is to walk towards the lower station, take a ride up and continue walk up to Eagle's Nest Hill for some photo shooting and just plain sight seeing. Then walk down the hill back to the top station and ride down. It's 20 rub per person one way to enjoy.

We walked and rode with a 7yo and 2yo. So it's definitely an easy stroll and ride. Pick the right time - we went during noon, but reckon sunset will be better.

A very interesting railroad station: the beginning (or the end) of the famous Tran Siberian Railroad. Worth seeing.

The path here is perilous, worn, and not lit at all. The view at the top is your reward for deciding to come to Vladivostok, Russia for some strange reason

We arrived at Vladivostok, Russia on our 14 day Maasdam voyage that's also encircling Japan. At this southeastern Siberian port city of 600,000, we took the ship's, "Fortress Museum and Regional Arseniev Museum Tour($110 each). It began at the nearby Central Square with its WW1 Monument, new Orthodox cathedral, and extended souvenir shops, before driving 2 km northwest to the Fortress Museum. It was accessed up 125 steps to its adjoining Battery(begun by the Czar), the exterior displaying scores of artillery to include a 1955 coastal gun, anti-aircraft guns, and bombs. Its interior corridor of 8 succeeding rooms displayed guns, uniforms, and associated barrack equipment. The fortress height provided nice flowered views over the Harbor Promenade and on to the Golden Horn Bay.
The tour went on to the Regional Museum and Eagle's Nest viewpoint before returning to our ship berthed in front of the Vladivostok Train Station and its Trans Siberian Railway.

In my limited experience here in Vladivostok, because I was taken to the viewpoint that looks down upon the Golden Horn Bay and the Golden Horn Bridge crossing the bay, going up to the overlook viewpoint is a do-not-miss experience IF you can arrange to do so. Luckily I have friends who live here and so they are taking me around to see the various sights.

Having lived in San Francisco, California, U.S. for several decades, I can well understand why some call Vladivostok the San Francisco of Russia.
