I took the red metro line 1 to Biblioteka Imeni Lenina then walked through to the exit on the grey metro line 9 station Borovitskaya.

From there it was a short walk to the Kremlin complex although a couple of busy roads had to be crossed.

Due to the requirement to have a PCR test no longer than 24 hours before visiting many indoor attractions, my visit was limited to outdoor viewing.

The buildings were spectacular including gold domed churches, towers, statues and the stunning St Basil’s cathedral.

I also enjoyed walking through the snow covered Alexander Park and saw the Lenin library.

Very interesting and I must revisit to see the indoor attractions when the pandemic allows.

The park is huge and has several buildings that can be visited. I recommend the Great Castle because it can see the architecture and life of Russia during Catherine the Second. The other two castles are ok, if you are interested in art be sure to visit them. There is a breathtaking golden hall in the Great Castle. Certainly the whole park is beautiful, in one part there is a lake around which one can remember and rest. There is a miniature museum in one section, but we have not visited it.

Very impressive and educational museum! A must do when in Moscow! You get to see the history of space exploration, lots of unique artifacts, relics, Sputnik satellites and much more also Belka and Svelka (the 1st two Russian space dogs to survive). It is definitely a wonderful experience and very reasonable price!

An interesting idea to collect slot machines from our childhood in one place.
At one time, we spent a lot of time throwing 15 kopeck coins in order to shoot at Sea Battle or Sniper.
You can visit this museum as a way of nostalgia, and in order to acquaint children with the games that we played more than 30 years ago. But not the fact that they will impress them more than modern games.
    Many machines don't work.

We spent about 4 hours in this museum - the house of experiments. There is so much to see and do, it will keep you and (even quite demanding) kids entertained for hours. All the experiments are interactive allowing you to have a go and find out for yourself how this work. The explanations are really well written in russian and in english, so that you don’t have to second guess on what to do or the science behind the experiment. We came during a weekday and had the place more or less for ourselves, I hear that it can get mobbed at weekends. Our 6 year old son loved it, and to be honest so did I.

Beautifully restored monument of Soviet avant-garde architecture. Very modern, tolerant, and unobtrusive.

Beautiful and unique manor house, grounds/gardens and outer buildings- it is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Have been visiting here for many years and seen it develop and grow. It's set in an old bus depot and contains automobiles, boats and bikes, and tractors, from the oldest to coolest. Really worth a nice visit. Souvenirs are cool too.

This is not just a museum of the writer, but also a place where he lived and wrote! Also some believe that this is the infamous "bad apartment" from "The Master and Margarita". Bulgakov lived here from1921 to 1924. Tiny room in a huge shared apartment had become Bulgakov's first home in Moscow, where he created his great works at night.
The apartment is located near Patriarch's Ponds so be sure to take a walk there. If you read the novel, you know why!

Every lover of impressionists should 100% visit this gallery. Brilliant Matisse and Monet here, Picasso, Van Gogh, Gaugin and many more. Just brilliant. Better have a guide

Other reviews describe the place fairly, accurately and up-to-the-point. I'd only add that in these covid times it is open and can be visited without any limitations. Just put on a mask (but only at the entrance - when inside no-one gives a damn).
Yes, signs are in Russian only but audio guides make your tour pleasant, informative and problem-free. I read in one review that their material sounds "too patriotic". Well, we Russians are proud of our victories. What's wrong with this?
We visited it in February. Me, my son and two of my grandchildren, both boys, 7 and 5 years old. They were thrilled. It's worth mentioning that there's a special interactive hall there where kids can try on a real ancient helmet or a chainmail or a shako from Napoleonic times or a headdress with a hackle or take in their arms an authentic sabre or a machine gun. Little puppies just can't be talked off this meat truck!
    Recommended!
