We actually did a full day tour of Manila staring at 10 am and ending at Barbara’s for dinner. Our guide Jonas was absolutely brilliant. He spoke excellent English and was incredibly knowledgeable about Manila and the Philippines in general. We learnt loads about the heritage and culture. He was fun, kind and considerate. Our driver Mario was very good and always polite and pleasant.

We rented a van through the sightseeing tour for the day or actually for 2 days. We had 6 of us in the travelling party & wanted to show some of the party the Tagaytay sights. We stopped for Lunch & then proceeded to have a driver tour of the Tagaytay region. It is well worth the effort to travel here. Its about 90 minutes from Makati. The views of the lake & volcanos are spectacular. The views as you drive down the side of the mountain are amazing. We returned via Cavite & it was a great route to take with exceptional 'photo opportunity' spots along the way. Well worth the effort & a nice break from the craziness that is Manila Metro.

Tony gave a wonderful tour of Old Manila. His knowledge of the history of The Philippines is excellent, and we learned a lot. He was easy to understand and answered all our questions thoroughly. I highly recommend him!

Had an amazing time with Venus. She showed us around exactly the things we were looking for, in this case it was a church tour for holy week as well as the neighborhoods of Manila. She was super accommodating to my elderly parents and was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Can’t recommend her enough.

I can’t recommend this tour enough. It’s was such an amazing experience. We were pick up from our hotel by our driver Emmanuel. Who was so lovely and took good care of us for the long drive up to Banaue and explain bit of local information to us along the way. On arrival in Banaue he took us to some beautiful view point and explain about the local area. We stayed at the most beautiful Homestead, ( Banaue Homestead) with the lovely Beatrice, who instantly made us feel at home and cook us a beautiful dinner and breakfast. We meet our lovely local guide Jonathan who would be bringing us on the trek and explains all about the rice fields and local culture. Banaue itself was beautiful, but the next day we got a bus ride to the drop off point. Make sure to ride up top and then hiked a short distance to our Batad homestead. Batad itself was amazing and breathtaking. Jonathan took us around the rice terrace field and down the many steps to the beautiful waterfall for a swim. Overall this was one of the best tours I have ever done and it’s so lovely to see such a beautiful culture and area. Thanks you so much to the whole Vangabondpin team but most expecially to Jonathan and Emmanuel who took such amazing care off us.

If you want a nice relaxing day to chill away from the city, then I do recommend booking this activity. I was quite lucky as the place wasn’t so crowded.

I recommend seeing the waterfall first. It is quite a small one, but still lovely. It’s about a 20 minutes walk which can be quite calming and there was a gentleman there who helped me through the water and took fantastic pictures of me.

There are three pools: the big warm pool, the “soda” pool, and the lovers’ pool which is tucked away in the corner. They provided me with lockers at no extra cost.

You make your way back to Manila after lunch so make sure you do as much swimming as possible beforehand. Lunch is buffet food (with soft drinks costing extra) and although I am not a huge fan of buffet food, it was nice nonetheless.

Throughout the drive, my tour guide was informing me about the sights on the road i.e. the buildings, the motorway, the mountain etc., which was nice. The only negative feeling I had (at the very end of the tour) was the tour guide telling me I should tip the driver. Although I do not come from a “tipping culture” country, I do not mind doing it when someone has done a great job. That said, I didn’t have much cash on me (as everything was booked and I didn’t want to carry much cash on me) so I just pulled out the first note which was PHP 50. The tour guide complained that it was too small. I still ended up giving it to the driver, but it left a sour taste in my mouth (and it’s not like this is a cheap activity to book).

Overall, this is a nice activity to book if you want a break from the city.

We took this tour on 2/29/24. Highly recommend this tour. This is such a great way to explore Manila and try all the amazing street foods that Binondo and Quiapo has to offer.Jen, our tour guide was knowleageable and taught us so much history, and she knew all the best places to get street foods and how to avoid the lines. She was the best!

Very cool hip tour of local nightlife with hidden bars speakeasy style all the way to glamorous locations popular with locals. So much fun, Mari was the friendliest most fun host we have ever had on a tour. Don't miss it!

I had an amazing and unforgettable experience with Mari. We had to make a last second adjustment to our tour, and she executed it flawlessly without compromising the rest of the tour to Tagaytay. The People’s Park and Taal Volcano boat ride was unforgettable and an experience that can’t be missed! Highly recommend!

Our guide/driver vincent arciga pick us up very early morning at our hotel lobby. We stopped for breakfast 30mins on Starbucks and then went to picnic grove to look the volcano.
The view of volcano is so amazing. vincent also told us the on the back side of 50 piso bill, we can find the picture of taal volcano.
after that we go to baywalk to have more closely view of taal lake,it's so beautiful so we took a lot of pictures.
and then we drived to pagsanjan waterfall. 2 boatmans take care our boat and one of boatman told me that he is 63 years old and he still can keep his body shape well just like young man. we gave tips 200 peso for each boatmans.
we got extremly wet under the 2nd waterfall and came back safely then have phillipines traditional lunch after change our clothings.
the car ride is quite long on the way back to manila metro. it takes almost 3 hours due to traffice jam. but thanks for vincent, he is so nice and introduced phillipines food and cultures so that we are not feeling boring during the trip. we will give 5 stars rating to vincent.

My family and I had a truly unforgettable and unique adventure in Sagada, Banaue and Batad.

This is not our usual type of trip, so we’re grateful we booked through Vagabond Pinas and had Brayan as our guide the whole time. He helped and guided us all the way.. down to even the littlest things! He, along with our driver and all other local guides, were very accommodating and knowledgeable. It was amazing to see all the sights of Sagada and Ifugao.

I would recommend Vagabond Pinas and this itinerary to all my friends! I can’t wait to book another adventure with them.

We booked /paid for a half day museum tour for two. (Note: unlike most other TripAdvisor partners this company had a no cancellation/no refund policy.) Good communication and clear meet up instructions. Timely notified of a museum closure with great suggested alternate. Morning of the tour husband unwell and I didn't want to spend that much time away. Met up with the guide, Jen, on time at the exact spot, to let her know she was free to go. We knew no refund. She expressed concern, asked if we needed medical help, and asked if I had any other plans. Just wander outside the port entrance a little and try to find a 7-11... As we walked and talked she did things like subtly switched sides to shield me from aggressive vendors, pointed out sidewalk hazards, and I realized what I most wanted was to just have a nice chat with her over a beverage in a place with AC. She was up for it, and kept notifying the driver of changing plans. I'm going to skip the rest of the details and summarize by saying Jen is one of the best private guides I've had in 40 years of traveling. She was so knowledgeable and shared information in a natural way--never sounding like she'd memorized info. Jen patiently answered a wide array of questions and we had a great conversation ranging from history to culture to current events, and beyond. She was constantly thoughtful of my comfort without being fussy. (She also kept her driver in the loop.) Though I only ended up using about half the scheduled tour time, I wrapped up the day with her because I was at that "Goldilocks moment" of feeling that everything which transpired was " just right." I could have easily found my way back to the ship but she walked me as far as she was permitted. The depth and breadth of her knowledge was impressive. I would happily seek Jen out in the future and feel confident recommending her and this tour provider without hesitation.
