Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of our best experiences while in Peru. We were met timely at our hotel and guided to a bus. Once at the port we were met by Samuel, our Inka Lake guide. He was super attentive and helpful, explaining the unique cultures of Uros and Taquile. We had a great lunch on Taquile, during which (among many other unique cultural traditions) Samuel shared the interesting meaning behind the various hats worn by the island residents. Be aware that the climb to the top of the island, where lunch was provided was strenuous given the altitude. We’re in our 70s and we survived. Younger people seemed to handle it better. Bring water.

The two days was fantastic. Looking online this seemed to be the best way to experience Lake Titicaca. While it wasn’t perfect, it was close enough. I would recommend this to anyone. Experiencing Pachyama at Sunset, spending the night on Amantani Island, lunch the second day on Taquile Island, the time on the water, and swimming in Lake Titicaca were unforgettable.

You could put this trip together in your own, but don't. Titicaca Tours take care of everything, all the guesswork, the uncertainty of cross border travel, the stress so that all you have to do is enjoy.

Worst case happened for me and a notoriously fickle border decided they one of my documents wasn't robust enough. TT got my message and within minutes had a guide there to take care of the issue, escort me through and get me back on track with the tour. If it had been just me, no Isla del Sol. Super nice, communicative, thoughtful and competent. Book them. I'm so glad I did

I had a really good experience. A smooth ride out to the islands on a very comfy boat and the guide was very knowledgeable.

My husband and I did the Uros islands visit, Amantani island and homestay and Taquile island, over 2 days. It was a cool experience and everything was really well organised. Our tour guide, Adrian was lovely and really knowledgeable about the area, nature and history. We had a lovely time staying with a local family on Amantani, who were wonderful hosts. I would recommend this tour:)

We stayed 2 full days in Puno and booked this tour hoping to get the best of it given our short stay in Puno.

The tour was very well organized, we left the hotel early and headed to Amantani Island by boat, it took 2 hours. During the boat trip, Miguelanguel gave us details about the trip and the region.

We liked that Amantani and Taquile were scheduled in the first part of the trip, they are less touristic and definitely worth seeing.

We also liked that despite the long journey, we stayed active, doing a hike first in Amantani, and then again in Taquille.
With the altitude (over 4’000m), the hikes felt like sport, although they were short (1h first one and 30 min the 2nd one).

Although we booked the tour in English, we spoke Spanish with Miguelangelo, another great opportunity for us to practice the language.

Miguelangelo gave us lots of interesting explanations regarding the region, the history, people’s life in the area, and also helped us buy a small handicraft piece from the people in Uros.

Lunch was organized for us in Taquille on a terrasse up in the historical village, we enjoyed the simple food, with natural ingredients which give energy (quinoa soup, omelette or fish, muna tea).

We also appreciated the conversations we had during the trip with our guide about Puno, Cuzco, PerĂş, and our travel experiences in other places in the world.

We got back at the hotel at 5.30pm, we felt we spent another amazing journey in Peru!

    Thank you Miguelangelo!

The full-day tour to Uros and Taquile Islands on Lake Titicaca was amazing! The Uros Islands, made entirely of totora reeds, give you a fascinating look at a way of life that’s been around for centuries. Taquile Island is just as beautiful, with its calm vibe and strong cultural traditions. Our guide was super friendly, really knowledgeable, and spoke both Spanish and English, which made the whole experience even better. I definitely recommend this tour if you're looking for an authentic cultural experience at one of the most beautiful lakes in the world!

A great day trip. Our guide was great and even had a drone he took videos with them posted to our group Whatsapp chat. We had a lot of fun! I recommend taking lightweight sun blocking clothing or sunscreen and definitely a hat.

Really enjoyed the kayaking tour. It felt like a way less touristy experience of Lake Titicaca. It was really well organised and the tour guides were great. Thank you!

Visiting Lake Titicaca felt like stepping into another world. The highlight was our homestay on Taquile Island, where we learned to knit with the locals and enjoyed a traditional quinoa soup. The views from the top of the island were spectacular, offering a peaceful retreat from everyday life. Perfect for anyone seeking authenticity.
