Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- neil102Astoria, NY8,943 contributionsAlways a five-star experience when the annual Classic car show is put on. This was put on much later in the year than the Father's Day event. Nevertheless, there was a large number of classic cars from all over the world.

Great section on Jim Henson. Allow plenty of tie for this place.Written 24 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravelingSoccerLoonSaint Paul, MN6,513 contributionsI was not overly impressed by the Socrates Sculpture Park. It is free of charge to visit which is appropriate as there was hardly anything to look at. What started as a great idea to build a space for public art on a former landfill site, the sculpture park seems to still be a work in progress, or it is just being neglected. If nothing else, there are some nice views on the Upper East Side of Manhattan across the East River.Written 11 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - neil102Astoria, NY8,943 contributionsThis is a breath of fresh in an industrial area of Astoria and hard to get to. I have been here several times over the years most recently as last June. The industrial-style bar with its seating and large tables was very good for drinks with friends. They did not have cider but I ordered one of their craft beers. I will be back!!Written 17 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 3000caloriesBuffalo, NY1,703 contributionsFun to walk around and see the murals. It was easy to find nearby parking. - Safi E3 contributionsOne day, as I was wandering around while waiting for my cardiologist appointment, I came across a new establishment that stood out from the rest. Intrigued by their services, I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, they offered me a complimentary fat-freezing session so I could test their skills firsthand before committing to any package. The experience was truly remarkable and much better than I had expected. The facility was immaculate, and the ambiance was exceptionally inviting. It was easy to see that they had put in the effort to create a welcoming and comfortable space for their clients. After the session, I was convinced their services were far more effective than any diet plan I had previously tried. The staff members were approachable, knowledgeable, and professional, making me feel at ease throughout my visits. Even though I had to make the trip from upstate NY to Astoria, the service was so phenomenal that it was worth it.Written 7 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is very disappointing, as Astoria has so much undiscovered history and little-known stories. The only lecture that primarily covered Astoria was on Rikers Island. In October I was here for a lecture on gentrification and the BQX, but it was provided by an outside partisan group who had no relationship with the community and were out of touch with the latest BQX developments. This was an inappropriate use of their facilities. I will keep tabs on what they are presenting, but overall very disappointing. Except for attempting to save Dulcken house and a couple of other relevant lectures, the experience is hit or missWritten 16 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
