What travellers are saying
- Amanda CCaernarfon, UK269 contributionsOur second visit, and an even better experience. There are 2 feeding times 9-10am and 3-4pm for visits and these times are strictly observed by the rangers. On our visit there were two orangutans in the first area - so we got a very close up (but very well controlled - of the visitors - by the rangers. On going to the feeding area we saw a large male, several solo Orangutans and two females with babies - fabulous.
The walk from the gate to the feeding area would be quite arduous for your average visitor, we hired a taxi (if you would like his details please message me) and he parked in the car park very close to the feeding area.
Entrance price is MYR10 for foreigners - which in my humble opinion is too cheap for such an experience.
A must doWritten 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - CayKuala Lumpur, Malaysia22 contributionsThis place is magical!
We prebook our stay through the forestry website the room is basic but clean.
Just make sure you got an e mail/code and then you are all good.
Get to the Jetty by bus at the Kuching bus station. Is just RM1 and it comes every hour.
A boat ride cost RM20 one way please mentioned you willing share with others. The boat ride only starts 1 pm due to the low tide during raining season! So no need rush to thw Jetty!
We did hiking Lintang trail loop seen wildboars and probocis monkey! Lovely dayWritten 21 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - babyoscar530CA743 contributionsthe Culture Village is a showcase of some of the different cultures in Malaysia, specifically Sarawak. There are traditional houses, dances, and arts & crafts people can see. Unfortunately there are no signs or audio guides so unless you take a guide with you, you are on your own. With COVID a lot of the items are also not available to touch or play around but it is still a good 3-4 hour half day visit. The price of the ticket is 50RM for non-Sarawakian, and 20RM for Sarawakian. They do take credit card.Written 24 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Nico B1 contributionSummit trail (now yellow markings): 4hrs up 3.5hrs down, bring enough water especially if you're not used to the heat. The last 2.5hrs are climbed on all fours. The trail is very well maintained and safe even for beginners, however very challenging. I'm not in bad shape but my legs barely made it.Written 3 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- hysheguKuala Lumpur, Malaysia44 contributionsVery good little museum. Well kept with lots of little bits of history about Sarawak. The views are pretty amazing from the top of the tower. Worth spending an hour there.Written 7 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Print Art IKuala Lumpur, Malaysia38 contributionsBest trip to kuching, Sarawak we had. Sarawak has loads of interesting places to visit and experience true local culture. An ideal number of days should be 5 days just to cover near by kuching area 100km radius...Written 14 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- wagetKuala Lumpur, Malaysia388 contributionsWent with my daughter. We were the only people who were there during our visit. I am not really a fan of cats but it is quite interesting to know that there are many types of cats. The collection in the museum is quite interesting.Written 23 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- leelitngIpoh, Malaysia106 contributionsThe fort is refurbished and converted into a museum which showcases the beginning of Sarawak and the development it has gone through. A good place to go for history lovers! The building is also well maintained and there are certain areas which display the bricks used to build the fort. However, it will be more convenient to get there by car.Written 24 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Iskandar DzurllMalaysia26 contributionsI really enjoyed spending some time walking on the bridge at night since it was cool and it lighted up. We took some nice pics here with an amazing background of the Dun lighted up in green too.Written 29 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 818Ummy818Singapore, Singapore30 contributionsIf you are looking to have loads of fun, this is the right place to stop by. Suitable for children, the young and young at heart. My daughter(29) and I enjoyed ourselves so much. We had loads of cool pictures to share with family and friends.
The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, they assisted us on how to pose for the best pictures. I had reservations at first but they were super helpful and immediately put us at ease. They attended to us throughout the 2 hrs we were there.
You'd be lucky to have the whole place to yourselves but even if there are other couples or groups, everyone would be having too much fun to feel shy. The best is, there is no time limit for the amount you pay, so go ahead, get clicking and enjoy youselves!Written 28 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Print Art IKuala Lumpur, Malaysia38 contributionsA must to try out the special kolo mee ( Sarawak Noodle with pork)

Both trips were enjoyable and interesting for different reasons,
in the morning we saw the Irrawady snub nosed dolphins and a
wonderful specimen of crocodile and in the eveing we were once againl lucky enough to see the dolphins and the proboscis
monkeys. Highly enjoyableWritten 11 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Iise ChewMalaysia1,900 contributions📍Old Court House, Kuching
This heritage building is so picturesque, photoshoots for graduations or weddings are often done here. Being the literal court house in past times, it now comprises of lush gardens with lovely cafes such as Commons & Roots and a Tourist information Centre.
