Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- dodge440London, England802 contributionsThe castle was still being rebuilt in places when we went following a fire a few years earlier. there is still plenty see - some gardens, buildings, and views. It's worth doing and you capture some of the history as there is some information on site. It was less than 400 Yen each to enter as well.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dan LBunbury, Australia9,012 contributionsWe were deposited by our tour bus opposite Ryubo Department Store and allowed two hours free time, just enough to browse some of the shops on either side of the street before heading into Ryubo. At 1.6km in length and with a plethora of shops, restaurants, department stores, shopping malls and other attractions located there, its a shopaholics delight. My wife reckoned that she could spend at least a couple of days, ok with me if left to sample the restaurants.Written 7 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John and Deb KKarratha, Australia820 contributionsA fun market along with all other Japanese markets we have been to great to wander, lots of food to try and interesting to watch the people. We spent a couple of hours wandering the streets and trying different food. Picked up some t-shirts for $15 which is cheap.Written 14 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dan LBunbury, Australia9,012 contributionsIncluded in our shore excursion and we had an amazing guide accompanying. We had a brief but interesting information session before we entered. The garden is typically Japanese, centered on a lake that is fed by an Ikutokusen (spring) and with a circuit pathway and dates to 1799. There are various monuments, gates, a pavilion, the 'UDUN" palace, stonework features including a bridge over the lake. The garden has abundant vegetation but no blooms.Written 7 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Erdling34 contributions... with a lot to See and experience. You are free to touch many things and Look at the very closely. Unfortunately a lot of text is just japanese and there is no english information nearby. Thus you need the audio guide (I guess, not sure if there is one).
There is a room in front of the shop where you can try a lot of things by your own, e. g. playing the sanchin (a traditional japanese guitar with three strings).
If you're hungry there's a pretty good restaurant on the first floor where we ate an amazing vegan Curry dish for aprx. 7€.Written 12 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Pretty and quiet, very easy to walk around, not very large gardens in Naha, Couple of vending machines dispensing drinks at the entrance if you build up a thirst, worth a visit.Written 10 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WonderSingapore, Singapore413 contributionsA very nice Japanese Shrine. Good that there are signages to guide foreigners how to pray. but unfortuantely, we only see the instruction after we have prayedWritten 31 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KC@travel99 contributionsThe pottery street is within walking distance from Kokusai street but it is a totally different atmosphere. I love the tranquility and peacefulness of this place. I enjoyed taking a stroll there with the humble design and historical pottery shophouses along street. It would be perfect if there is outdoor cafe for me to indulge myself in a cup of hot latte!!Written 31 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OZS_ATWBudapest, Hungary4,382 contributionsT Gallery in Okinawa was an nice mall with all the upscale shops. Prices were sky rocketing. - TravelingFoodieMiami, FL3,011 contributionsNothing special yet it was good to walk this peaceful old narrow street and chat with a couple of locals. A stop at Sui Dun Chi restaurant at the bottom is well worth it.Written 29 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WonderSingapore, Singapore413 contributionsNice view of beach within the city.
It is a relatively small beach that is in naha city. We visited the beach after visiting Naminoue Shrine. We have taken quite a few nice photos there at the beach.Written 7 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We spend about 1.5 hours here. Bought some Japanese Clothings. There were good discounts. Dont think made in Japan though.
Bought beauty products as well. So overall a good mall to browse japanese fashion.
There was a bag, wallet concept store selling coach, anna sui, katespade, tsumori chisato wallets but i find very expensive. Example, a katespade walket costs S$400?
In another shop known as concept style, it sells shoes, clothings, belts, bags, etc but of lower quality. The slippers were made in thailand. So again, do not carry home these items if you are visiting chachuchak any time soon.
When in Japan, buy Japanese items. This is our shopping guide 101.
As this was our last evening to shop, we just buy whatever we need ala minute.
Still, a good experience to look into local products and lifestyle.Written 24 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
