- Gina G104 contributionsOur tour guide, Angie, made this a memorable day with her knowledge about Mt. Fuji and her humorous approach to the tour. She was efficient and polite and receives a five-star review from us. The weather cooperated for beautiful views of Mt. Fuji while riding the Hokane Ropeway. The lake cruise was not our favorite part of the day as the pirate ship was very crowded, but we enjoyed the fresh air and mountain views. - sherwin8882 contributionsHad a great day with our guide Graham. The company and guide communicated with me through WhatsApp and picked us up from the hospital which was very convenient. I went into knowing that a view of Fuji Mountain is not a guarantee. I was worried because it snow the day before our tour. I heard that some tours the day before was cancelled which was reassuring for future booking in that you are able to cancel if weather is bad. In the end, we did not get a full Fuji Mountain View but was able to see about 2/3 of the mountain not covered by cloud in an otherwise sunny day. Our guide was able to help us avoid the crowd which was great. - Sandi3 contributionsAMAZING!!! This tour was one of the best I've been on. Our tour guide, Kuniko, was great, and was entertaining on our semi-long drive to Mt. Fuji. This is a MUST SEE tour for visitors to Japan. Seeing Mt. Fuji after a snowfall is surreal...BEAUTIFUL! - Jay GWashington DC, DC3 contributionsThis was a wonderful, full day tour that showed us everything we wanted to see. We were esp lucky that it was sunny and we could see Mt Fuji. Our guide Imran was a great driver and guide who asked us what we wanted to see and did a great job of making it happen. We loved the speedboat part and seeing Mt Fuji on Lake Kawaguchi. Also loved the views from the Pagoda and Hakone Ropeway and our authentic Jspanese lunch. We also appreciate all the photos he took for us! They couldn't have done more to make sure we had a truly memorable day. - C L1 contributionWe booked our trip the night before we wanted to go based on the weather. I wasn't sure if this would work because it was after the official hours of the tour company but within 15 mins of my booking, our guide reached out to say that he would be there in the morning to pick us up.
In our travel party, we have two young kids, with one requiring a car seat and they were able to supply one for us.
Going on a private tour worked well for us with the kids. We were able to move at our own pace, we were provided options for different places to stop for lunch (so we could accommodate our picky eaters) and the kids could nap in the car between stops. Our tour guide Attary was professional, friendly and was excellent with the kids. The van was extremely luxurious and comfortable, the onsen is the best I've experienced in three weeks (I go almost every day and try to go again whenever I can), and the landscapes are breathtaking. Elie is attentive and will not hesitate to provide answers to any questions you might have. Want to stop at a certain place because you've seen something interesting? No problem, just ask! You really feel a service of the highest quality, if not luxurious. Incredible value for money; I'm coming back in four months and won't miss trying another destination!
