First time visit a Disneyland. I really wasn't into the whole theme park thing but from the moment we entered the park, it was pure magic. Everything was on the highest standard, well-designed and I must say flawless! We tried some food and coundn't stop until we were too full. Really no complaints. An exhausting day yet unforgettable.

We came here for a day while in Tokyo. We are a couple in our 30s and we really like rides. Lots of the rides in Disney Sea are aimed for people a little older - nothing ‘white knuckle’ apart from the Tower of Terror, but there are a few roller coasters and more ‘action’ rides. For younger children I believe the normal Disney park is better, so do your research.
We managed to get on so many rides using
Fast passes and also queuing. The app tells you live queue times so you can head to places that are quieter. We did Tower of Terror twice, Indiana Jones, Sinbad, journey to the centre of the earth, 20,000 leagues under the sea, soaring, aquatopia, steamer ship, Venetian gondola, raging spirits, flying carpets…we even managed time for lunch in the cafe Portofino and a cocktail in the SS Columbia.
You can see and do so much if you arrive early, plan using the app and use fast passes sensibly.
The theming was exceptional, even compared to Florida Disney. Also compared to other parks, everything felt so civilised. Queues were orderly and well-organised. There was no litter. Everyone was super friendly. We loved it!
Lastly don’t forget your Minnie and mickey mouse ears - you will be the odd one out if you don’t have any!!

Ikspiari is the Tokyo Downtown Disney. It is one of the stops on the monorail so it was very convenient to get to, especially since we stayed at the Hilton Tokyo Bay. We came here twice during our 3 night stay at the hotel.

One of the times, we came here to pick up dinner around 8:30pm. Unfortunately, one of the places I was hoping to go to was already closed. So make sure you check hours if you go later in the evening. We did watch the short fireworks display though from here which was a surprise!

The main shopping we did while here was at the 2 Disney stores. One is Bon Voyage, which has the same items as in the parks. It was very busy when we were there. The other is the Disney Store that has unique items not found in the park. The prices, I feel, are a bit higher than in the parks, but still cheaper than you can find in the US. I bought a few Baymax items that I liked more than what the parks offered.

It is a great place to learn more about the history of Urayasu. With translating apps, we were able to enjoy our experience here. Free entry with both indoors and outdoor museum. There were several opportunities for our children to have hands-on activities, e.g. climb onto a boat (indoors), traditional water pumping, playing traditional games, walking into houses etc

It is a very open park where you can feel the refreshing sea breeze of Tokyo Bay. I recommend you to visit here on a fine day. The greatest charm of this park for me is not a barbecue square nor a playground equipment, but a vast grass area. In there, you can play various sports like catch and frisbee or have leisure time.
Because there is about 3km from Shin-Urayasu station, you'll feel that there is somewhat difficulty in accessing there. But it leads to avoiding from the hustle and bustle around the station.
On the other hand, there are few objects in the park that are likely to be shade, such as tree planting. Some people bring a small tent to avoid sunburn.

We only swam here, so I can rate any other part of the facility. But the pool was clean and well maintained and I always felt safe with the lifeguards on duty.

Wakashio park is full of stuff to do. There is a large green space for running around with a hill that children love to climb. There are some animals, guinea pigs, rabbits, goats, kangaroos, capybara and a pony. Children can hold the guinea pigs at set times at the weekend, and go on pony rides. There are bicycles for children to practice their cycling skills. There are two swings and a slide. Inside the building there is a small snack bar, a soft play area for babies and toddlers, and a space for older children to practice roller skating. There is an insect exhibition and upstairs there is a toy room, a computer games room and monkeys. It's completely free.

The water in the swimming pool was crystal clear! And the facilities at the park were also in perfect and clean condition.

The Maihama Ampitheatre is best accessed by going to Maihama station and entire ring the Ikspiari shopping complex. You want to follow the signs for the Ambassador Hotel and go through this to ultimately reach the Ampitheatre. I’d recommend stopping at the info desk in Ikspiari on the ground floor as they can give you a map or the route to follow (and an accessible route if needed)

There’s a large (for a theatre) shop with merchandise in the lobby to the left when you go in. Unfortunately, none of the merch specifically mentions the Japanese production, it’s just the generic Beauty and the Beast production logo. There’s a smaller stall in the lobby where you can buy a programme and/or soundtrack of the Shiki production. There’s also a cafe with seating next to this.

The theatre itself is small than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. The production itself was very good but a different staging to when I have previously seen the show - the castle set in particular was very different from past productions I’ve seen.

If you speak some Japanese, it’s worth noting that for some reason the Broadway version is a different translation to the animated version. Even songs which appear in both, such as ‘Belle’ and ‘Be Our Guest’ have different lyrics in the stage version - particularly jarring if you’ve just been on the Beauty and the Beast ride at Tokyo Disneyland! I’ve been learning Japanese for a while and unfortunately find the stage version more difficult to understand.

My go to grocer at Shin Urayasu. Love the selection here and the fruits, vegetables and meat section is superb.
