Trip was great and our driver Junaid was absolutely fantastic & was always ready to help us out. We explored the market and craft shops in Takayama and the Samurai home. Saw the mountain village of Shirakawago. The A-frame structures were so cool. The views were amazing. Thank you. With Kanazawa Tours. Sachiko spoke very good English and she really knew her history this area. It was a hot day so she did her best to keep us cool. We were able to see several parts of the city, Sachiko was very knowledgeable of the history Kanazawa and how that history has impacted the modern culture of Kanazawa. She has cultivated good relationships with artisans and shopkeepers in the various historic districts. This has resulted in a richer and more fun experience. In addition, Sachiko is a patient communicator. This is an important quality for American tourists who may not speak Japanese. Not only were we picked up at our Airbnb but our tour guide took us to shirakawago to tour but then took us to a less crowded gasho style home where we got to have tea and learn about the home history from the family who has owned it, 19th gen. - MarmadukeScarlettLondon, UK50 contributionsWe met our guide Tetsuro at 6pm and spent about an hour walking through the old Geisha districts, Tetsuro shared lots of fascinating facts and insights. We then went to a restaurant and had a really delicious meal. I had the pork udon as did one of my children and the other 2 had the beef. You part cook it yourself on burners and sit at a traditional table. Tetsuro was an interesting host and we enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about Japanese culture and food. We then had a pear jelly pudding and some homemade ginger tea. The restaurant was lovely, we really couldn’t fault it. I wouldn’t think this tour is suitable for children, mine are all adults. We learned a lot about the Geisha and Samurai life during the Edo period and visited the most beautiful places. We really appreciated Tomoko-sans deep knowledge in all aspects of Japanese culture and her enthusiasm when sharing it with us. On top of that Tomoko-san is very friendly and kind. We strongly recommend Tomoko-san and any tour she may guide.

But TK is a very experienced photographer and all our photos turned out amazing, all well taken. He was involved with us throughout the trip about Japanese culture & Japanese history. The sites we visited were really amazing especially the view at the peninsula also the beach drive.
