Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went through the rice fields and ended up in this lovely village at Spring Onion Family Tours. We went in for lunch and ended up signing up to take a cooking course. We engaged with folks in the village because I grow many of the same things in Canada and it was fun to compare. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and the people friendly as everywhere in Hoi An.

Absolutely loved the gallery, this and the nearby Precious Heritage museum were the highlights of our Hoi An trip. Place is cosy, artwork's wonderful, and the staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. We bought an album that we needed to have delivered at a later date to Hanoi as it was too big to carry around in a backpack, and My helped get it autographed and sent to us very swiftly once we had the address. 💚Communication was super smooth and open all throughout, it was a really nice experience!
Gallery is definitely worth a visit just for the works, but it's also a great place to get albums or art to bring back home for a good price - we only wish we'd got more, as similar quality was hard to find in the rest of our trip through VN.

We had 5 hour cooking class and trip to the local market to buy fresh ingredients. We had the most fantastic time. Xuan was our excellent chef/teacher/guide. She met us at our hotel. We cycled from the hotel to a very exciting busy food market where we bought all the fresh food we needed for cooking. Cycling is really easy here in Hoi An. You need to be aware of your senses but it’s a lovely experience. We cycled through rice fields and she explained some of the details about how it is farmed. Then the best thing was arriving at the amazing Herb and vegetable farm in which the kitchen is based. It’s Utopian. So quiet, so much nature, so much respect for the food they are growing. We spent another 3-4 hours cooking four different recipes. You don’t need to be an expert chef for the course we did - but it was very involved and even though I’m an experienced cook, I leaned some really nice things. We ate everything we cooked and it was all delicious. We finished around 2pm so it is a lovely creative and restful way to spend a morning/early afternoon. Fantastic experience.

A nice morning with the cats. Unfortunately they need to move to another premises with all 110 cats.
As their current place has been sold.
They do such a great job protecting vietnams cats

This is such a fun stop in our Hoi An adventure! You get to choose what shape and size lantern, fabric, then you’re put to work! You can get as much guidance as you want ( we got a lot)! And the people that work here are so patient and nice. We really enjoyed ourselves and now have lanterns to fold up and take home. We highly recommend this shop. 5 star!!

My husband and I went here about 5 years ago. We’ve since done over a dozen cooking classes in different countries including Thailand, Brazil, New Zealand, Italy. To this day this class is our favourite thing we’ve ever done on a holiday together, top tier best class, best organisation, I still think about this class anytime I eat Vietnamese food.

This excellent shop has something a bit different from the other shops we saw. There is interesting art and jewellery. There are beautiful cards. There are some things made from recycled materials. And there are plenty of gifts to chose from. The shopkeepers were very pleasant and not at all pushy. And their English was good.

Out of the many Hoi A shops to pick from, we went with Eli’s Clothshop. We only had 24 hours and Hannah the shop owner accommodated us with the most amazing customer service. She is honest and not pushy like others we encountered. My husband made 2 custom suits, 2 shirts. I made a skirt and she also did some alterations on clothes from the US. Everything was done to perfection and the fitting was completed at the time stated. We can’t recommend this shop enough. You will not be disappointed in the customer service, quality of clothes made, fabrics, price, and time of completion. Please consider giving Hannah your business. You will love everything as much as we did!
