The host was very funny and well-practiced, and the surrounding team were a great support to everyone taking part in the workshop making sure no one screwed things up too badly :) Everyone was in good spirits thanks to the hosts ability to keep everything relaxed and fun.
A great way to spend a few hours and especially pleased to learn the process behind each unique Vietnamese coffee – we all left highly caffeinated and sugared up. We ended up staying for a few hours and did some painting too. Then we came back again the next day for more painting. My daughter loved it so much she wanted to stay all day. This is definitely a must do when you come to Hoi An. Mr. Bean had a good plan for the next most convenient route and was also flexible to rearrange the day to give us the best shot at best weather at the bridge. We got wonderful photos, despite the crowds, thanks to Mr. Bean's tips. - Shilpa S4 contributionsThe My Son Sanctuary was a great site to experience and learn about. Good lunch. The rice paper making was really fun, and it was great seeing how people lived and worked on their own farm, and we felt very welcome laughing together in their home. The boat ride was a lovely way to see the area too.
We had a great group with us, easy to have fun wth. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, loved laughing with us, was easy to understand, and very knowledgeable about the Sanctuary and its history which we really appreciated. First of all, the menu had a very good selection and each person could cook two entrées and 1 main or 3 entrees. the staff were very helpful and made sure we all had a job to do. My daughter who is young also was helped out a lot. Our 6 and 9 years old daughters loved the experience and we will certainly remember it forever! The tour team is very organized, follows the schedule correctly and delivers much more than we expected. Shopping at the market was incredible, making the lanterns, learning the local cuisine… Everything was always very well organized and prepared by an incredible team! The basket boat ride was also wonderful and we were guided by a man who sang beautifully! Every minute was very well spent and worth every penny! We then had a cool basket boat ride on the river followed by cooking 5 delicious dishes. From spring rolls, savoury pancake, banana flower salad to stir fried dishes.
Our chef and guide Sonny was great and a good laugh.
