I always find it difficult selecting and organizing a tour from far away, but from the first email, Francis and his team made it so easy. We were promptly picked up from our air b n b and brought to the take off point. The bikes were high end and in great shape. One of my friends on our tour chose the ebike, which was perfect for what was a pretty challenging 70 km round trip to the falls (James even brought along a spare battery for her). Cycling through the villages and tea plantations and seeing how people really live here provides what I think is an unmissable aspect of any visit to Africa. It was heartwarming to see the smiling happy kids run out to greet us (tip - bring along some candies to give to the kids along the way to make it easier to take their photos). James did stop along the route, as needed to pick up fresh bananas, and water for us. One of the (many) highlights of the trip was lunch. I've never heard of a rolex (not the watch version), but its now my go to lunch - YUM.

Today I went on an expedition tour with Eric and Walter to the Mabamba Swamps. They picked me up at the hotel on time as arranged. We took the ferry to Sazi, which saved us a bumpy journey via Kyengera. They both know every bird. And so I am made aware of the local birdlife at several stops on the way. Once we arrive in the swamps, Huntington, an experienced guide and also a birding expert, guides us through the narrow canals. After just a short time, he spots a shoebill, which we approach within five metres. What a sublime moment. Time stands still for a moment and you don't want to go any further. After what feels like 15 minutes, we carry on and around the next bend Huntigton discovers the next shoebill. What a lucky coincidence, he confirms, as there are only 12 of its kind in the swamps. Of course, we spot other birds that are only partly familiar to me as a birdwatcher, such as various herons, kingfishers, plovers, crowned cranes....
The entertaining trip with Eric and Walter was an impressive experience. If I hadn't already booked several tours with other providers, I would have gone on a discovery tour of Uganda with the two of them.

Another perfect experience with African Adveture Travellers. This was the 4th safari we've been on with African Adventure Travellers and the service is always top notch! Dr. Robert is professional and everything is organized so I don't have to worry about anything for our group of 8. The activities are exciting and interesting, the vehicles are comfortable, and the accommodations are comfortable. Adam is wonderful, he instantly becomes one of the group. He's professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly. It is always a pleasure to have him with us. Thank you again! We will see you next year!

Our guide Noah was very knowledgeable and had an amazing ability to spot the animals. We really enjoyed the boat trip in Queen Elizabeth Park. While watching the hippos in the water - a herd of elephants came down the hill to the water to drink.
The chimpanzee trek was so memorable. They were very active and vocal because they were hunting that day.
Following the gorillas is not to be missed. There was a baby that was so cute.
The guides for the treks are amazing and really take the time to make sure you get to see the chimps and gorillas.
We did a side trip to visit the Batwa village at Noah's suggestion and we are so glad we did.
Our accommodation at Queen Elizabeth Park was just ok but the Ride 4 Woman Lodge at the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest was fabulous - we wished we had stayed there longer.
We booked this 5 night Uganda tour with a 7 night Kenya/Tanzania safari. Anthony and Bliss were easy to book with, answered all our questions quickly and met us at the end of the tour for our feedback. I would highly recommend Friendly Gorillas tours.

I had the pleasure of working with Robert Mugabe of African Adventure Travellers to try and organize a Safari Tour of Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda for a group of my friends. I appreciated Robert's prompt reply to my emails as well as his willingness to answer all my questions and make changes to the itinerary. Planning for a large group of people is never an easy task and in my case, I had to cancel our tour due to circumstances out of my control. African Adventure Travellers was very understanding and provided me with a refund of my deposit. I would highly recommend booking with African Adventure Travellers due to their exemplary professionalism. I will be sure to book with African Adventure Travellers in the future based on the excellent customer service I received.

    Sincerely, Philipa Mugabi

I had a great time on this walking tour, I was the only person, and Viola was lovely. She was professional yet warm and friendly - the prefect walking guide. We walked around streets seeing the more established homes and then homes that are poorer. We saw schools with the children and caregivers walking home for the end of term holidays. Saw the market and shops along the roadside. Saw the famous Lake Victoria Hotel and got to the Rolex Guy to taste the best rolex in the country! I recommend this walking tour as a great way to introduce yourself to Entebbe.

If you’re considering going on a Safari, I would 100 percent recommend booking with Home to Africa! They exceeded every expectation, from trip planning to the on-ground experience. Right from the beginning, they were incredible- great with communication, timely, efficient and always ready and willing to answer my questions! They tailored the entire trip perfectly for my partner and me, making every step of the journey seamless. We spoke to other people who were on different tours who told us they had hidden fees and all so we felt really lucky that Home to Africa was so great and up front about everything!

Our guide, Ben, was outstanding. If you choose Uganda, I highly recommend requesting him. His deep knowledge of the local plants and wildlife added so much to the experience, and his patience and expertise ensured we saw everything we hoped for and more. It was truly magical!

We can’t recommend Home to Africa enough! From the magnificent Murchison Falls to the majestic wildlife and the warm, welcoming people, every moment was unforgettable. It was more than just a safari—it was an immersion into Uganda’s rich culture, amazing wildlife and stunning landscapes.

This was more than just a safari for us. Driving through the towns, seeing friendly faces, and kids waving—Uganda truly is the Pearl of Africa. If you’re debating where to go, Uganda has it all. You’ll see the Big Five, trek with chimps and gorillas in the forests and mountains, and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture. This was a life-changing, unforgettable trip for my partner and me, and after nine days, we didn’t want to leave!

For anyone wondering when to visit, October was ideal. With fewer crowds, we had prime views of everything, making for a magical experience. So, if you’re deciding on a safari destination, choose Uganda with Home to Africa. It will be the trip of a lifetime!

This was the most incredible tour I have ever been on. Every day was a new adventure and I saw so much - lions, a leopard, Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Golden Monkeys, Giraffes, Elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Crocodiles. Michael was quick and reliable whilst organising, the tour guides (Silver and Patricia) are two of the kindest and amazing people I have met, the locations were stunning, food delicious and accommodation perfect with beautiful lodges overlooking the incredible countryside. I travelled solo and felt completely safe in Uganda. I also met the Bugoli team - they are a local tour company who employ local men and women in their offices and support a team at the local Albino charity. This is a beautiful company and I would recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Uganda ❤️🥰❤️. For photos please see heathers_travel_adventures on instagram ir the Bugoli instagram accounts

I visited Uganda back in April this year; due to Covid this was a holiday which had been originally booked for March 2020 but had been cancelled and rebooked several times.
When I arrived I stayed at Secrets Guesthouse as I had been here previously and thoroughly enjoyed my stay and getting to know the owners Angella & Derek who were extremely hospitable and accommodating and I can highly recommend this establishment.
Since my previous visit they had added a safari tour bus operation to their business Secrets Destinations Ltd; going on safari was not at all part of my plan but they 'twisted my arm' and offered me an incentive and, even though I had some trepidation given the pandemic, I went on the 3-day Murchison Falls Safari.
In a sentence it was the best tour ever. Nothing was too much trouble. My insecurities fell away as I watched the vehicle being cleaned and sanitised before use. The vehicle was fully equipped and the small group were provided with drinks from the onboard fridge, as well as WiFi (which by the way is great if you want to post your experience live on social media). We would stop for lunch at restaurants which observed the governments SOP's (standard operating procedures) for Covid.
The Tour Guide was truly knowledgeable about the animals we saw and their habitat but better still she was very good at spotting animals which had cleverly hidden amongst the trees and foliage to avoid being in the spotlight. It was amazing to see animals and birds in their natural environment and in real life and not on TV, it truly can take your breath away (and for the tour duration I totally forgot about the pandemic, what pandemic?).
If you get the opportunity,  please don't hesitate and get your 'arm twisted', like I did - like the Guesthouse, I can also highly recommend Secret Destinations. If there's anything this global situation has taught me it's to grab life with both hands (and feet ) and experience everything you can and you will have a once in a lifetime experience on this Safari!

Bravado never disappoints. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be one. The staff offers the finest personalized service in welcoming atmosphere.

My deep tissue massage therapist, Flavia, was excellent at administering a relaxed and muscle relieving massage . She asked to confirm the right amount of pressure for the best results. Plus the ambience, decor and cleanliness is top notch.

My spa day wasn't complete until I had my gel manicure and pedicure. Joan was very sweet and meticulous at getting my nails just right before stepping out for the evening. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits are a nice touch.

If you want a 5 out of 5 star spa experience, come to Bravado Entebbe.

To say we fell in love with Uganda is an understatement, and a lot of that has to do with Dav Safaris. Benjamin, our guide, was amazing. He picked us up at the airport in Entebbe at almost 04:30 and we were off on our almost 7 hour drive to prepare for our Safari.

During our trip we had a cultural experience in a local village where we learned how Coffee is harvested and prepared from beans to grounds the traditional way. We also met with a medicine man who explained the traditional elixirs he can produce and what they are used for.

The second day was our chimpanzee trek, and the entire experience was amazing. We were lucky enough that the chimps were on the ground and not just in the trees, and at a couple times the chimps walked within 3m of my wife!

Day three was the gorilla trek, and while we were warned it could be harder than the chimpanzee trek, we were fortunate again and the trackers were able to find them in only about 90 minutes. We spent our hour with the gorilla family, and watched as the baby and two juveniles wrestled and played. The silverback kept watchful eye the entire time and the other gorillas came and went.

We ended our tour by being dropped at a game lodge in the Queen Elizabeth National Park rather than being taken back to the airport, but usually full transportation to and from the airport is included.

If you have the chance, sign up for these tours, you will not regret it.
