It was delicious and the wine was cheaper than the alcohol store in the town. The gentleman wrapped the bottle in bubble wrap and put it in a box for us. The shop owner Vahdi stands out as a decent, honest and lovely man who is happy to show you his collection without any pressure to buy. His collection is varied and he goes out of his way to help you find the right Kilim for you! They are delighted with their pictures and Naile’s shop is a great find! Definitely recommended and the children were keen to have another go as soon as we left! Maya gave me the best scrub. I’ve had 4 so far in Turkey, and this hamam was the best!
Also Seda was incredibly friendly and professional as the Spa manager!
In case you are new to these wonderful spa experiences, the basic Turkish bath (hamam) usually goes like this: go to change room, wrap yourself in towel, sit in sauna and/or steam room for 10-20 minutes, then lie down naked on slab of marble, attendant then spends 10 minutes doing exfoliation (you can keep the loofah mitt), then 10 minutes of soapy massage, then sit up - have hair washed. All the while you are rinsed off with buckets of hot water….
