Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took our rental car 51km on good limited access Route#22 from our Udon Thani hotel. Arriving before the 9AM opening, we drove 500m farther to see the protected excavation pit at the nice Wat Pho Si Nai which had free access.
Returning to the UNESCO museum, we paid 300 Thb for 2 and toured the 9 galleries filled with beautiful pottery classed into 3 different periods from over 100 sites along with dioramas of the pottery molding/firing and the smelting of metals. After an hour when finished, we were rerouted through the entire facility to exit.
We enjoyed learning about the development of society here going back to 3500 BC, similar to historical Mesopotamia.

Quiet mall. Not very busy on weekdays or week nights. Your usual American, Korean and Japanese chain food.
    Some local stuff.
Nice to get away from the heat

The Udon Thani Museum is an interesting look at the history both the local area and this northern region of Thailand. Not all of the narratives are translated into English which limits their usefulness to those of us who do not read Thai, but in many cases, the pictures give context.

If one is in Udon Thani for more than a few days, take a bit of time out of your schedule and visit this attraction.

It is not a big museum that displays the history of Udon Thani. However, there is almost no English translations...

The Landmark Plaza is a compact shopping centre, that packs in plenty of variety to tempt both shoppers and diners, alike. You can explore this mall in air-conditioned comfort, across multiple themed floors (see my YouTube). The small food court adjacent to the cinemas on the top floor, provides some city views, as well as economical eats.

This place is OK, a playground for the rich and beautiful. It's right near a major university so there are many university students. Music is mediocre. If you're older than your 20s you might be ignored because people will assume you're a sex tourist who can't find the girlie bars.

I've probably seen 20 movies here. The prices are decent but it's quite cold in it ... the air conditioning actually works. The cinema is located on the top floor of Central Mall is beautifully clean and spacious. Some of the staff speak very good English. Limited range of English movies and often the English version will be shown at 8pm or later.
