- VeShannahFranklin, TN237 contributionsI loved this beach! It's so much better than the busy, loud, hustle and bustle of Patong Beach. It's a bit of a treacherous hike to reach but you can take a water taxi from Patong Beach for easier access. I took the water taxi on departure to avoid climbing back up that steep hill to call a Bolt. There is a bar, restaurant, and free loungers. The water is great and the bay is so picturesque. It is a quite different atmosphere actually. there is a white sand. Also walk to Bangla adult bar street which is wild after dark. Traffic is very tight and crossing some streets can be challenging. Motor bikes abound and few cars or bikes follow normal traffic rules. We packed far to many clothes. We were there for 12 days and were in shorts and light shirts and sandals or flip flops for 95% of the time, one outfit for fancy dinner should be sufficient. Massage places are abundant, but we were concerned about the cleanliness of some due to covid. Not sure towels were changed between customers and although price was right did not want to chance it. Stay with ones in malls or hotels which seem to be better supervised. Try food court in Hung soon basement for authentic food. Have fun. Hot weather and humidity takes a bit of getting used to.
