- 991cookieLiverpool, UK139 contributionsAn assault on the senses at first, once you’re used to the loud music coming from multiple bars, bright lights and touts offering everything from roses to sex shows, its a good place to watch the world go by with a beer.
Stopped at a few bars and got a different experience in each one, but beware of the alleged scams that other people will warn of especially if you’re a male and alone.
Personally wasn’t impacted by any of these as we visited as a couple, but did have some bar staff offer to play pool and wouldn’t mind betting this was a hustle of some sort. But they did leave us alone when we refused politely.

It's a bit of a treacherous hike to reach but you can take a water taxi from Patong Beach for easier access. I took the water taxi on departure to avoid climbing back up that steep hill to call a Bolt. There is a bar, restaurant, and free loungers. The water is great and the bay is so picturesque. However not for the faint hearted, they picked us up from our hotel, we were in the bus for about an hour picking other people up, but we also got stuck in traffic.
Once we got there we got given out ticket and a free T- shirt- we got some snacks, popcorn, drinks and took our seats- we had front row seats so got in on all the action.
It started around 9 pm and finished around 11, there was a bus to take us home, however we decided to head out into town.

You will find a variety of Thai dishes at the various food stalls. There are common seating areas to share with others. Every time we visited, I tried a new Thai dish and accompanied it with fresh coconut water. I recommend the dishes that are well cooked. It is a good location close to the beach waters.
