Amazing experience.. If you can, sleep in one of the many floating bungalows. you can explore yourself by kayaking or enjoy your beers while you swim in this fantastic place!

I went here on my one night stopover in Surat Thani. The market is good to try many delicious street foods at a good price. Must see in Surat Thani.

it locates near the Tapee river ,it's Sriwichai ancient architecture, same as well known Phra that Chaiya in Chaiya district. it's very colorful at night with lighting up with colorful color and it's just within walking distance to major attractions around the city ,such as Lam phu public park ,which is the island amid Tapee river, Ban Don pier and market .

This market is certainly popular with local Thais every Sunday. Now and again, there is a special event which, on this occasion we visited, was celebrating the third birthday of the market by giving out free food. In reality there were far too many people there and it was almost impossible to see what food was being given away. Despite staff asking people not to take the food away from the market, we saw many people heading back to their cars with bags of the food.
Normally, even though the market is still popular, it's not as busy although parking can still be a problem despite the best efforts of staff. Some drivers can't be bothered to park properly and just abandon their cars without any thought of other people wanting to park.
There are many stalls selling fruit and cooked foods all reasonably priced. Some have tables and chairs so you can sit by the Klong and enjoy what's on offer.
It's a good way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday and to sample local food.
    Highly recommended.

Need to walk more than you already do? Go for it! Nice comfortable walk around this small island. Best to do it in the morning or late afternoon. There will be more people there than during the mid-day but still nice either way. Small roadside food vendors before you enter. There is no charge to visit the park.

This is the main shopping centre for Suratthani city and is situated on the outskirts of the city. There are large carparks and even at weekends it's possible to find a parking place although some drivers seem unable to park within the lines!
There are many shops including a large department store (Robinsons) and a supermarket (TOPS) and usually there are a number of pop up shops on the ground floor. There appears to be quite a high turnover of shops which is probably a sign of the times given the Covid situation.
On the upper floors are many restaurants and a food court, a cinema and children's play area. Banks and mobile phone shops are plentiful and you can even buy a vehicle!
We tend to avoid weekends as it can get very busy. The centre opens at 10am.
Easy to spend a few hours here and equally easy to spend a lot of money!

We had a great day snorkeling around Koh Tao! Even though it was raining the whole day, the team was in a really good mood and motivated us to go snorkeling at every spot. We even saw a shark and a turtle on the trip (even though we couldn't stop at Shark Bay due to the high waves!)
