Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The trek with our guide Santosdionisio was awazing! We reached the top for the sunrise and Santos was very nice and helpful explaining all the plants and the mountains around. He also made sure we were going down safe, as the was down can be very tricky and slippery.
    Awazing guide !

This place is a true wonder. We stayed more than an hour and it just was amazing every second. Not only due to the amazing and changing colours of the minerals in the impressive rocky sides of the craters, also due to the scenery, of course the immense lakes and their colours. It also is the energy that surrounds it, the atmosphere (providing other visitors shut up:)). Absolutely one of the most amazing and wonderful places we have been to. We didn’t go with sunset. We came there around ten thirty am.

Watching the bats fly towards Flores to feed is an eerie experience. Soundlessly, they cover the entire sky and come in tens of thousands in a seemingly endless flow from Kalong island towards Flores and other islands nearby.
    A moment to remember. Always.

It is an amazing village located in a beautiful spot. The hike to get here is a bit hard for some people, around 1h30/2h going up, but fortunately it’s in the forest, so it’s not too hot. When you get there they charge you a fee entrance, for which they give you lunch, and they ask for a mandatory “donative”, for which the spiritual chief of the village blesses you and your travels. The people are very welcoming and nice. They have a special house for the tourists who want to spend the night, which seemed comfortable, although we had other plans and didn’t stay.
For me, this was the best experience in Flores.

Didn't do the usual sunrise visit, the sun can get up without me supervising. Got there about 8am, clear skies and amazing scenery. Plenty of stalls to have coffee and a snack. The walk up is well maintained as is the whole area.
Just amazing to see the brilliant colour of the lakes. Watch out for monkeys, unattended bags are soon being ransacked by snarling macaques. Stayed at Moni,; travelled from Labuan Bajo on the back of a motorbike, a 2 day trip over hills and around hairpin bends. Hard on the body but I felt completely safe. The road is good, not much traffic but watch out for dogs. Went with Alfian who is based in LBJ and is a very careful rider. Speaks English and is recommended as a guide. 62 8133 759 0103 whatsapp

We had a great tour today, starting in Bena. Impressive how the clans still live their traditional life. After Bena we chose to climb Avatar mountain and to visit the impressive waterfalls. The nature and views have been overwhelming.
Many thanks to our English speaking and professional guide @Alfredo Sua and driver Marselinusbhejosely.

This was stop 6 as part of our tour around Komodo. At this point we were a little water/beached out but its a nice place to chill out. The snorkelling here is enjoyable though, just grab a pair of goggles and head into the water. Around the pier there is more than elsewhere around the beach, but all around great to see many fish and wildlife (I saw a large, blue starfish).

Another beautiful place you have to stop for snorkeling and swimming if you take a boat trip. You can choose to go with local, private boats

Do it if you can, this is one of the few places you can see Komodo dragons. They are a bit lazy (something to be thankful for, you don't want them to be actively chasing you). If I re-do the experience in the future, I will chose the shortest track. I find the medium track hike to the top is unnecessary. No more komodo sightings on the way, the view from the top is not as good as Padar (or Kelor).

A hidden gem! Was definitely worth visiting. Crystal blue water. Steps into the cave are quite slippery so sand shoes are ideal if you are planning to visit. The boat over took roughly 20 minutes and cost $30 return.
A great activity for the family.

We have time to visit this place for a night. They got fresh seafood here, and the price is not so expensive. Very simple place with amazing food.
