Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- BradHong Kong, China176,140 contributionsThis is a rural area north of Jl. Raya Ubud that is within close proximity to the city centre and a convenient opportunity to walk through working rice fields as part of visits to Ubud. In addition to seeing rice paddies and an impressive water irrigation system, there are numerous villas and some neat little coffee shops and cafes built up along the walkways.
We very much enjoyed a morning walking through the Kajeng Rice Fields recently, including a great stop at the cute little place called Brick Wurang where we were served sweet Banana juice drinks and an order of lumpia while enjoying views of the rice fields. Allow at least 1.5 hours to walk the fields and have a cafe stop before returning to the city centre.Written 18 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As coffee drinkers were were keen to buy some but ended up leaving with several different teas. We tried them when we returned home and to our surprise they tasted as good as they did when we tasted them at the plantation which often isn't the case. I would say the tea is a powder and while not as sweet as when we tasted it at the plantation (the teas were very sweet) it is sweeter than we would normally take our tea.Written 23 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David OSydney, Australia14 contributionsLots of space. Beautiful setup. Nice and breezy. The service was really good. The food was great. Our timing wasn’t great because we arrived at the same time of two buses full of tourists and we missed our chance of sitting on the bamboo booths on top of the pond.Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David MCape Town Central, South Africa310 contributionsour guide was wonderful spending time explaining the whole process and answering any questions, coffee and tea samples were interesting, the coffee is really good and you can taste the difference, but be prepared to pay if you make it your daily drinkWritten 7 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Imogen LouiseMelbourne, Australia22 contributionsinteresting plantation - could see different plants- cinnamon, cocoa, coffee bean & then see how the coffee is made. A bit sad to see the luwaks caged up asleep. Great tasting selection of different teas and coffees. Nice photo opportunities with swings and heart shaped sculpture.Written 25 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BrandieRiyadh, Saudi Arabia130 contributionsI was expecting this to be a large coffee plantation in my head, and while it was small, I still really enjoyed it. It was also free for the tour and tasting, which I hadn't planned on, so that was cool too. The guide is really friendly and helpful, since I was asking so many questions.
I just loved the little animals, they are a mix between a cat and raccoon, so cute. However, the cage seemed to be small and ratty, I think for something that earns you money you should have them a big space to run around and play in.
I wasn't expecting spice, so that was really nice since I love stuff like that. They have all kinds of spices and even real cocoa beans, very neat. We got to try about 12 drinks I think, coffees and teas.
The kopi luwak was VERY strong. I've had it before, but when I bought it I had no idea how you make it at home. I asked this time, and you make it like Turkish coffee, it's actually even stronger than Turkish coffee, and not that good really, and I'm a coffee snob, but still I LOVED the experience. The teas were also really good, and we ended up buying some coffee and teas, the coconut was our favorite, and lemon grass tea.YUM, so much fun.Written 7 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
