Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic day. Authentic and delicious food. Had the morning exploring the market before cooking up a storm. Enjoyed eating the feast we created. Couldn’t recommend enough. Have gone away inspired to cook more and armed with recipes.

This was a perfect experience. We saw the home, temple, garden and the home life. Putu talked about the way of life for the rice growing family.
Then we started preparing a wonderful meal. She was a great teacher. She guided us through making sauces, rice, sauces and spices we were using. And then we got to eat.
And then she sent us the recipes.
I highly recommend this class. You will learn so much.

I loved the Balinese cooking class. Pick-up was smooth and on time, followed by a visit to a local market, which was very informative. We were then taken to the cooking school, which is set against the backdrop of a picturesque rice field and surrounded by a lush garden, where you can explore locally grown vegetables and fruit. The cooking class itself was very well organised and the presentation was marvellous. We were really looked after exceptionally well with a welcome coffee and breakfast, lunch, some fruit to take home and water. I also really enjoyed the extras this tour came with, including making an authentic Hinduist flower offering and receiving an edited video of our experience at the end of the day. Finally, if I had to make a recommendation for improvement, I would suggest going completely plastic-free. As such, it would be best not to waste so many plastic gloves but reusable ones that get washed, and to give people cold water in glasses rather than bottled water. Indonesia is in an absolute crisis regarding plastic waste and I saw many public areas and beaches in Bali and Lombok, that were filled with rubbish and used as dumps. It is incredibly important that local businesses make a start to contribute to positive change and change their practices to become more sustainable, thereby setting an example for the rest of Bali/Indonesia. Local businesses and government agencies need to understand the impact that the amount of rubbish in Indonesia may have on tourism if it continues to go unchecked. Many thanks, Laura

Thanks so much for a wonderful cooking experience, Bali Farm Cooking School ! We had a great day with you and really enjoyed the whole experience. Your staff is lovely and we learned so much from them. The food we cooked was awsome and the location of the farm with school is unique. I recently attended a cooking class in Bali, and it was an incredible experience. We made six delicious dishes, each one bursting with flavor. The instructors were knowledgeable and friendly, making the class both educational and fun. A great bonus was that we could take home any food we couldn't finish. I highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Bali!

It was a great learning opportunity. First, we visited the market and had great explanations about the important ingredients in Balinese cuisine. Then, once we arrived at our host place, and got to learn more about balinese culture, way of living, and the Hindu traditions they follow. We cooked a lot of different balinese meals. Everything was so well organized and everything was delicious. They are also super accommodating to any allergies or food restrictions, and really respect them. Thank you to everyone for the great experience!!

This was the most amazing experience. Dewa and his family were gracious hosts. Dewa is such a wise person sharing his customs, history and traditions with us in a way that was easy to understand and relate to. Something everyone that comes to Ibud MUST experience.

This was so much fun! We loved being able to go to the market and see all the different things there. We were able to try fresh fruit that we can't get in the U.S. and the guide explained a lot about the local traditions. Once we got back to where we would be cooking, we were shown a family compound and were informed about how the family compounds work. We were able to cook all the dishes fairly easily and everything was delicious. We were so full that we couldn't finish it all! Great job to everyone that participated in this experience for us!!

The instructors were amazing and so patient! The food was INCREDIBLE and they shared the recipe after, which we will definitely be making again at home!

The tour with the morning market, home and garden gave it a full experience and glimpse into the life of living and cooking in Bali. 100/100 recommend!

The local market was amazing. It was great trying so many local fruits and vegetables.

We thought we were headed to the cooking class only to be given a tour of their house. The tour and information remains the highlight for me which is saying something because the food we prepared and cooked was incredible.

Such a personal time experience that we shall be doing again.

We started with a warm welcome in a Balinese home where we learned about the Balinese culture and way of living. Then we had a wonderful cooking workshop where we made sambal, satay and several other authentic dishes. This was so much fun. If you are looking for an honest and authentic Balinese experience, this is the place for you!
