Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great experience. We were lucky enough to enjoy a cooking class with Chef Mudana. It was heaps of fun and very interesting. You are involved with the preparation and assisted with balancing the tastes of the multiple meals you create throughout the night.
The dinner at the end of the class was one of the best i have ever had. If you are in Bali around Sanur, I really recommend taking one of these classes.

Beautiful location, wonderful staff and you leave with amazing pieces of custom jewellery - a perfect day in my books. We did the full day gem setting class, I would highly recommend as this gives you a real opportunity to try your hand at a variety of techniques.

Recently attended the cooking class with my son. Very quiet in Bali as not School holidays and no Chinese tourists due to Coronavirus. It turned out to be just my son and I in the class which was perfect.

We were picked up from our Villa and taken to a market which is generally not visited by the tourists and were given the opportunity to taste some fruits we hadn’t tasted before like Snake Fruit and Durian which we decided were not for us.

From there we were taken back to the cooking school and cooked Beef Rendang, Mie Goreng, spring Rolls and Green Pancakes.

Dewi, Koming and Arve were great teachers and the food was fantastic.

A great food and cultural experience. I would recommend this to anybody who wants to experience the food and culture first hand.

This was an amazing experience. Our transfer from and to Kuta was arranged. We met at the morning market, Sanur, to buy our ingredients. Then back to a private villa resort. We were served a lovely breakfast of banana pancake and coffee and juice. Then into the Bamboo Shoots Cooking hut. We made everything from scratch. Wati and Irma were beautiful instructors, very attentive and organised and so sweet. The colours and smells and flavours had our senses invigorated . What a beautiful way to learn about Bali. Well done ladies and thank you for having us.

What an amazing place to do your Spa courses!!!! They have Balinese vibe on your first step to come. Variety courses with the best international knowledgeable trainer (they do know exactly what they're doing, and they have a great communication), assist you with all matters that you need (they can help to assist for accommodation and airport service), real human model for the practical sessions, certificate of CIBTAC and VTCT, also certificate for their courses, and all for reasonable and affordable prices. Thank you so much for the owner, Bu Penny, and the team there which all of them are always have a smile on their face. And they also do retails for their products! The dog, Mango, is an adorable doggy!

Merta is an excellent, enthousiastic and entertaining teacher who did a great job at teaching building of a traditional Bali kite and of course taking it on its maiden flight. The fact that the kite flew perfectly without any trimming required on its first flight is testament to Merta's skill and eye for detail. Looking forward to the next time we visit the island and build a massive team kite!

I definitely recommend these lessons. I came with zero experience and have learnt a lot. It's a beautiful space to paint and learn about art. Noel is lively and fun - but it's also very peaceful to work there. You won't regret trying these lessons out.

I am from Australia and do pottery back home, so when I travelled to Bali I wanted to find a pottery studio where I could learn the same art form but in a new environment surrounded by new people to learn from. Kevala Studio is such a beautiful creative space to both learn and evolve. The studio itself is open and full of gorgeous natural light. The staff were great both to learn from, as well as hanging out with for the day. I loved finding my own creative space hidden in beautiful Bali.

After speaking with the girl on the phone (no problem with English), i booked a class 4 days out. one requirement is to pay a deposit which is collected by them from your reception, more then fair, they need to know who really will attend. On the day you get picked up early in the morning and go with the rest of your group to the market, where you meet the chef. Without going through all the details the chef is very knowledgeable and gives advise re the different produce. After supplies are purchase you get to a nice house with a great kitchen setup, just great. Here the cooking class is run and again very informative and fun. A very professional setup i recommend to anyone who likes Bali food. Just remember you eat a lot and cold water is provided, and at the end the finale a beautiful meal a cold beer and your certificate a perfect day out.

80 minute cooking class - mainly demonstration by choice at this restaurant - very good
Two keen chefs - one with good English and also excellent understanding of gluten free.
Three course meal of traditional Balinese dishes. Only $30 and does not involve a market tour which many don't want

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the cooking classe. We learned - even though I love to cook at home it was nice to see a few new tricks - and also laughed a lot. Nita and her team were very helpful and entertaining. It felt like cooking with friends as it was such an open and relaxed atmosphere. As it was a lot of food I couldn't finish everything and they were so nice to pack it so I could have it for dinner. Thank you :)

We had an awesome time at secret alchemist cooking class, both of the cooking class teachers were kind and professional. We enjoyed the traditional homemade Balinese cuisine and had a good interaction with the host and the teachers. It's really good to have a chance to explore this beautiful island by making dinner ourselves. The atmosphere was also nice, super recommends you to try!

When our tour guide asked us if we want to see Balinese dance in a Cultural Presentation, we immediately agreed. When in Bali, one must really see Balinese dances because it is a very ancient dance tradition that is part of the religious and artistic expression among the Balinese people of Bali island. Balinese dance is dynamic, angular and intensely expressive. It is said that dances are integral part of Balinese life. The dance is beautiful and unique since it is closely connected to religious rituals. In the cultural presentation that we saw, the performance is part of a Balinese version of the Hindu Ramayana epic.
