The travel time from Kuta to Sanur Port is 30-45 minutes, and from Sanur Port to Nusa Penida Port is 45 minutes. The trip was okay, but there were big waves. Once we arrived at the port, we were asked to wait for our tour guide/driver, who informed us that our first activity was snorkeling at three different locations: Gamat Bay, The Wall, and another spot close to the port where you can see sea turtles. The current was strong, so my friend and I skipped the last site. The beach could have been beautiful if not for the plastic rubbish everywhere. The marine life, however, is gorgeous.
After roughly two hours, we had to wait again until our tour guide asked us to ride the van/car and head to our early lunch, about 40 minutes away, at a nice restaurant with beautiful views of the scenery and landscape. The food was great, especially the Ayam Betutu, Chapay, and Tempe. After lunch, we headed to Kelingking Beach, which is 15 minutes away. It was gorgeous, with shops and restaurants lined up and an awesome view. According to our guide/driver, people can go down to the beach, but it would take an hour to go down and back, so we skipped it as the trail is narrow and steep.
Then we went to two more beach sites, Angel Billabong and Broken Beach. Unfortunately, they are not swimmable, but they are gorgeous and great for photo ops. We were asked if we wanted to go to Crystal Beach or elsewhere, but we opted to go back to the port as it started to rain. Overall, the experience was great, but it's sad that Bali is like a trash site now. I don't know if it's because of the monsoon season, but there is a lot of rubbish. I still recommend visiting at least once, considering the ocean is great for surfers, and the friendly Balinese people are something special. However, I would say that Koh Samui, Phi Phi, Boracay, Palawan, Siargao, Panglao, or Bantayan Islands are simply gorgeous and "viewtiful."
