Great day tour with Raka, who seemed to know everyone we encountered! Super friendly and efficient service. Raka was respectful of us wanting to spend more or less time at certain destinations and gave us a lot of insight into Ubud, his community and family.

Our driver is Eka. He is really really nice. At the end of the tour, we asked about the recommendations of the restaurant and it's delicious with the beautiful view.
    整个旅途也一直很负责,一直跟着我们。问我们想去哪里需不需要停车,在猴子园也一直告诉我们安全指导,下次来还会选择他

I booked via viator and the process was simple and straightforward. A confirmation email was sent straight away and there was a contact number which I could WhatsApp and confirm my pick up time and hotel location. This tour offers complimentary pick up and drop off from all hotels and resorts all over Bali, even if you can’t see your hotel on the list you can input it manually.

Today we did the Best of Ubud Tour with Oka and what an amazing experience/ day it was. Oka was so friendly and was always going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with such ease. He made today super wonderful, being our first time in Bali it was such an insightful experience and was also a very well planned tour if you’re trying to see Bali on a small timeframe. From the coffee plantation, to the sacred monkey forest, to the rice fields, to the temples and waterfalls it was such a great day out. Oka was such a fun guide! Can’t wait to come back and see the rest of Ubud and Other parts of Bali with Oka!

    Thanks for today!

Hands down - one of my most incredible experiences in Bali!!!! Honestly, even if you don’t “cook” - you should go just for the food. Best I ate during my entire Bali trip. I went solo and made friends from many other countries. Everyone so friendly. Great solo or bring your group.

The chef that runs the class is GREAT. Super smart and knowledgeable regarding all aspects of cooking and culture. Funny and entertaining. Everything was meticulously organized! There was also a great emphasis on CLEANLINESS and freshness of the food. They order the food directly from supplier so it is much fresher than market.

I took the class at the Seminak The car picks you up at your villa and takes you to the restaurant location. They take you to an air conditioned seating area with bottled water where you meet the others in your group, get name tags etc.

Once everyone is there, they take you to the market in a large vehicle. The head chef gives a tour of the market. You are able to buy a few fun food items that are approved for plane travel. For example: I bought the packaged mix to make peanut sauce and nasi goreng.

After the tour they take you back to the restaurant (and AC area) where you can wash hands, etc. They give you a beverage and a delicious little desert treat.

Then the cooking begins!!!! We made so many dishes! Like 6 or 8. It is super organized and there is always someone helping. As you make the meals they will have staff grab at certain point and finish in the kitchen. But you get to partake in every aspect of the cooking process but all the food is fresh and hot the way they coordinate it. Fine tuned machine. So impressed!!!!

Once the cooking is done, everyone sits to enjoy the delicious food family style. You can buy beverages or bintangs (beer) to enjoy with your meal. They give you a cute certificate and a booklet with all the recipes you make - definitely going to have a Bali food party when I get home!

BEST FOOD IN BALI. Don’t hesitate! Take this class!!!

Amazing experience. We were picked up very promptly by our lovely friendly driver. The hike was very enjoyable but harder than we expected - certainly got the blood flowing! Beautiful views. Coffee plant after was a fun experience and we got to try lots of different teas and coffees free of charge. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Bali.

We had Dharma as our tour guide. He was nothing short of AMAZING!
He was extremely knowledgeable and knew all the right spots to take us to.
We did the gate of heaven route, followed by Tirta Gangga and ending with the incredible waterfall.
I will forewarn you that the hike back up from the waterfall will definitely not be easy for people with bad knees/hips as the steps are quite steep. But with a lot of pauses in between my mum still made it haha.
The highlights of the trip were most definitely the food for us. We love sightseeing but we love food more. Dharma took us to a local spot that served babi guling (suckling pig) for lunch, which is meant to be an iconic dish for the balinese. If you’re feeling adventurous I would highly recommend going to a local spot that Dharma suggest as the food was indescribably flavoursome. Pretty spicy but incredible. Definitely hit the spot for us. and for those worried, I am writing this the morning after and can confirm there was no bali belly experienced in our villa hahaha. Also a notable mention to the restaurant he took us to for dinner, we had an authentic nasi campur served with various ways of cooked chicken and as you might’ve guessed, this place also definitely hit the spot for us. Both of the food spots he took us to were very well priced, it cost us $9AUD for 3 people at lunch and $8AUD for mum and my dinner.

All in all this day trip was fantastic, and with the company of Dharma, I could not recommend it any higher.
He not only was a gracious guide for the day, he took some epic snaps of my mum and I at all the places we went.
I wish him all the best. Thank you Dharma for making our day out so fabulous!

Putu was a knowledgable, experienced and easy-going guide with a good command of English. We learnt a lot on this tour about many aspects of Indonesia, not just food. The two of us tried a variety of local dishes and were (over)fed at multiple locations - I definitely suggest doing this tour on an empty stomach!

What a wonderful way to learn and taste the local food. Diny our tour operator was so knowledgeable and always asked if we were comfortable with her suggestions. Being such a small group made travelling around the bustling Denpasar a lot easier. Highly recommend.......

We had a fabulous tour of the market and stroll through local parks to sample lumpia (spring rolls) and other street food. The guides were knowledgeable University students who were able to answer all of our food questions from our group including a dietitian and Le Cordon Bleu chef. So interesting to see the pace, produce and locals at the market and the wide boulevards of the capital.

We really wanted to do the Mt Batur sunrise trek after reading such good reviews about the views from the top.

We had previously used Bali4U tours for a day sightseeing tour and because of their excellent service decided to use them again. Booking was easy through WhatsApp.

Pickup was arranged for 1:45am and after a pleasant journey up to the start point we met with our trekking guide Padu. He was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We set out our walking at about 3:30am with flashlight provided. The climb itself starts off gentle but soon becomes quite intense but manageable. Be prepared for a good 2 hour climb. You can either stay at the 1st Top for sunrise or climb to the second Top. For the extra effort it is definitely worth going up to the second Top.

When at the top our guide found us a good spot to sit and provided a carpet, warm drink and light breakfast of banana sandwich and boiled egg. We got to the top at about 5:30, but the climb is really popular and busy so by getting up early we got a good spot to witness the sunrise!

Be prepared for how cold it is up top! No exaggeration even if you don’t climb in layers, make sure you bring layers to put on ! It is very nippy. We ended up renting 2 blankets at 50,000 IDR each.

Sunrise was at 6:30 and our guide took some good pictures for us and suggested good poses! We admired the scenery for about half an hour then began our decent. This only took an hour but be very careful the ground is slippery and steep and the terrain is rough! You don’t have to be the fittest person to climb but be aware it’s not for the faint hearted.

Our guide brought us to our driver at the halfway point where the road ends by the new temple and we set off on our long journey back to Seminyak. We were offered a trip to the coffee plantation but we declined as we had been a few days earlier. We arrived back at the hotel by 10:30am.

So all in all a tiring but throughly enjoyable day and well worth the 800,000 IDR each. The driver was friendly and encouraged us to sleep on the journey and our guide was brilliant and jovial. I would strongly recommend using Bali4U tours. You can either book on WhatsApp or through there website and you can pay the driver the fee. Would definitely use them again for any tour!!! Many Thanks!
