The temple can be reached by walking through the narrow bylanes or by taking an auto, and it is also accessible by boat. We opted for a boat ride at Vishram Ghat, and the boat dropped us near a ghat from where we could visit Dwarkadheesh Temple. It's advisable to leave your footwear in the boat, and the boat will wait for you until you return.
The temple is located less than 100 meters from the ghat. When we arrived at the temple around 4 to 4:30 pm, the darshan was closed. Consequently, we found a spot in front of the temple gate, and when the temple opened after 20-25 minutes, we had a clear view of Dwarkadheesh.Written 10 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Every devotee visiting Mathura must go to this place. If you are in a cab or four-wheeler, park it roadside and enter through gate No. 2 as it is nearby. Remember that there is very tight security, and mobiles, bags, belts, smartwatches, coins, and even car keys are not allowed inside. A locker room is available near the gate, but the queue is very long. So, if you have any of these items, you'll need to queue again for the locker room before entering the temple complex.
Inside the complex, there is a temple of Lord Krishna, and darshan for it is in a queue. Following that, the queue leads to the cell where Lord was born. The Krishna Janam Bhoomi has been commemorated by a marble slab marking the exact spot of His birth. After that, visit the five shrines inside the temple complex. There is also a small cave JHANKHI depicting Shri Krishna's life; the entry ticket is Rs. 10, which is also valid for visiting the cave near gate No. 1.Written 25 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Music is played and people flock to the boats to celebrate religious history.
This place is an authentic ( not tourist) part of India and we enjoyed having a wander. In the day we had a boat trip for about 10 - 15 min ( 100r)
Mathura was interesting but perhaps ideal for a 1 night stop over.Written 21 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Debashis TDehradun, India2,296 contributionsThe Radha Kund and Krishna Kund are two large, significant ponds located along the Govardhan Hill parikrama path. Due to the narrow and crowded approach road, e-rickshaws drop visitors approximately 200 meters away from the kunds. It is recommended not to touch the water with your feet; instead, you can take some water in your hands and sprinkle it on your body. Interestingly, the water in each kund is of a different color.Written 13 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jade S6 contributionsWe decided to visit wildlife SOS elephant conservation and care centre after doing lots of research on different places. There is no question that these rescued elephants are now living their lives in a safe place that they can spend the rest of their days recovering from the physical and mental trauma experienced in their past. The guide was very knowledgeable about the care of the elephants and their rehabilitation, medical care. It was very interesting to hear about it and see the elephants experiencing their every day routines in the comfort of this place. Such a shame the place doesn't get many visitors - a beautiful setting, the animals are wonderful and the staff truly care about their wellbeing. We saw the elephants different personalities whilst they had a wash, and how the elephants were bonded to each other. It was also great to see how their environments are enriched for them and how they access food from various places. Wildlife SOS are doing amazing work for these animals. Very affordable gift shop also.
Please visit here, the elephants need the support.Written 14 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. To take darshan of how Sanatan history has been surviving with eternal strength for ages. The temple is an old house of a devotee who used to worship Shaligramji and was upset that there was nothing much to celebrate or decorate like that of a Krishnaji statue. The devotion was to such an extent that the stone converted itself to a beautiful mesmerizing Krishnaji statue.
You do not have to do anything when it comes to Krishnaji. Just fall in love with the ambience, the atmosphere, and the entire setup. Listen to the tales and miracles and enjoy the bliss. Experience the vibes when they draw open the curtains for evening darshan. No entry fee here for anyone, but you need to take care of your goggles, your purse, and your shoes as there is heavy presence of monkeys who may snatch away stuff in mischief. No need of a guide here also, as this place is a small temple and it is better if you chant mantras and speak with the local priest and guards to get more insights.
A bliss indeed. May Sanatan glory live for ever.

This temple is near Nidhivan and Vishram Ghat. The timing of the temple is similar to that of other temples in Vrindavan. It features a traditional Gopuram, following the lines of South Indian architecture. The front side of the temple is located at the back of the entry gate, and to reach it, you have to walk alongside the temple wall.
Inside the temple, there is a 15m high pillar dedicated to Lord Ranganatha or Rangaji, depicted as Lord Vishnu in his Sheshashayi pose. Within the temple enclosure, you'll find a water tank and a picturesque garden.Written 31 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
