We visited the Taj Mahal in Monsoon season, so there were a handful of western travellers there. This made the queues non-existent, and we managed to walk around the whole area with no problem or waiting.
It is a truly beautiful place to visit, and the story of why it was built melts your heart. The building is cleaned regularly, so was looking amazing when we visited.
The one thing I found very hard in India, was the locals constantly wanting to take my photograph or have a selfie with me. It is completely harmless, but as an introvert I found that very difficult.

You are not allowed to take photos of the inside building, which was fine, but you are ushered around quickly, and the security guards were so focused on us, they completely ignored the local tourist who were taking tons of selfies and photo’s. It felt a bit like double standards to me.
100% worth a visit if you are in the are of Agra, Rajasthan.
