- AllenSydney, Australia55 contributions【China, Dalian, Liaoning Province】Dahei Mountain - the No.1 Mountain in Southern Liaoning Province, with a View of Two Seas
🌈Attraction Features: Dahei Mountain is the highest mountain in southern Liaoning Province. You can view two seas, the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea simultaneously on it. In autumn, there are numerous ginkgo trees. Among several temples, it's extremely beautiful and highly suitable for taking pictures.
🚗Transportation to the Attraction: Basically, you can either take a taxi to the foot of the mountain or drive there by yourself. If you drive, you can park your car inside at Chaoyang Temple. Then, you can either take a bus to go up the mountain or climb up on your own. There are two sections in total, each with more than 500 steps and a section of mountain path. If you are in good physical condition, you can start climbing from the foot of the mountain; otherwise, it's recommended to take a bus to the middle of the mountain first and then climb to the top.
👍Must - visit Spots: The main peak of Dahei Mountain, which is the highest point and the place where you can view the two seas; the Dianjiangtai (Appointment - of - General Platform), which is in the middle of the mountain and can be reached by bus; the Shigu Temple, a relatively large temple where you can pray and there are beautiful ginkgo trees; the Tangwang Palace, which is at the foot of the mountain at another entrance. The ginkgo leaves there are very beautiful, making it perfect for a visit in autumn.
🚩Queuing Tips: There's no need to queue in general, and it's very convenient to take the bus. You don't have to wait for too long for the bus. Even during peak times, getting on and off the bus is quite fast.
💗Other Tips: For those with poor physical strength, it's really recommended to take a bus directly to the mountainside.Written 8 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lerner13 contributionsI got off at Haizhiyun, the terminal station of subway line 2, and saw a coastal promenade. There were many locals swimming and tourists playing in the shallow water. Walking up a winding road led me to Haizhiyun Park, which had free entrance. Along the cliffs beside the road at the entrance I saw many marine animal sculptures: mussels, a giant hermit crab, sharks, other shellfishes, etc. I strolled all the way to Laohutan subway station on line 5, bypassing the Bangzhui Island Scenic Area. The trek took about three and a half hours.Written 2 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Martin ASuzhou, China3,214 contributionsDalian has a lot of amazing malls and this one is great but it's not even in the top ten. I don't want to knock the Olympia, I'm just saying there are several malls downtown and in Kaifaqu that even more impressive. Olympia is big, clean, opulent, and has great restaurants, clothing stores, et cetera, but it's a little out of the way. The downtown core, between the train station and Labour Park, is easier to get to and has more to offer.Written 23 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brandon StoltenkampBeijing, China453 contributionsBest part of my trip. Note, you do not actually go to the island. You look at it.
