I spent three weeks in Lviv, during the Russian invasion, and absolutely fell for the city. The Old Town is, as the title suggests, is reminiscent of Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, but also manages to not be like any of them, having it’s own unique charm.

The cobbled streets hide a multitude of great restaurants. As I spent so much time here, eating out every night, I can safely say that I didn’t have a bad meal. On top of that, compared to London, the prices are insanely cheap.

Obviously, spending time here during a time of conflict didn’t exactly give me the normal view of the city, but I decided very quickly that as soon as the conflict was over, I’d be returning with my family for a holiday.

Something like 350 steps (not including the walk to the 4th floor where the entrance to the tower is) on a sometimes narrow wooden staircase. Great views of Lviv once you get to the top, though kids may have a hard time seeing over the top of the wall. Beware the bell chiming every quarter hour, but be sure not to miss the view of the clock workings on the way up/down. 50 uah, seems open every day. I imagine it can get busy, even on a Sunday morning there was a school group.

Perfect place for a few drinks and people watch. If you can, visit Lviv very interesting & less crowded than Kyiv. People are extremely friendly but you may struggle to connect to Google

We attended a beautiful New Year's Eve concert that combined orchestral pieces, ballet and opera. There was no dialogue so it was easy to enjoy as English speakers since everything was conveyed musically or through movement. The opera itself it stunning and they even gave out masquerade masks to visitors and shot confetti. A very unique experience!

the musem part was designed in a very clever way. the whole history of beer production and it's history and development in eastern europe. the expostion was very detailed and nicely arranged. also the building itself was a very attractive and nice-looking. and another also - the opportunity to taste the local beers (also these not exported).

Stunning view for amazing Lviv. Worthy just to go and see. Of course crowded place, but for the view is really worthy.

Typical Armenian Church. If you like religious tourism then this is a good place to visit. There is no entry fee.

1800s palace, so the draw is both the rooms in the style of the day as well as the art. Lovely collection, mostly Europeans, including Goya and Georges de al Tour, but also surprisingly the collection of Puyi, the last Emperor of China . Two floors, enough to make it worth entry, but not so much you get tired of art by the end.  One of the rooms included tactile representations of some of the castles in Ukraine alongside braille explanations, which I found unexpected and nice.

Really beautiful place to see. A hidden gem, you wouldn't notice it when walking outside - it's just one of many buildings, but the inside really makes your jaw drop. Great place for a quick insta photo shoot :) I recommend also visiting the balcony on the first floor a nice place to sit for a moment or shoot a few additional photos.
