The best time to visit the sea organ is between 8-9pm when the sun is setting to get the best view of the magnificent Zadar sunset

The noise the sea organ makes is just like your child playing the recorder when they first get it, but it's strangely hypnotic and you could sit there for a good while listening to it whilst taking in the views

Definitely a must see in Zadar

This is located right near the Sea organ, not much to see during the day.

This is spot to come just as the sun sets. So beautiful and then wait till it’s really dark to see the magic of all the lights.

Monument to the Sun or The Greeting to the Sun is a monument in Zadar, Croatia dedicated to the Sun.

It consists of three hundred, multi-layered glass plates placed on the same level as the stone-paved waterfront. It consists of a 22-meter diameter circle, with photovoltaic solar modules underneath.

Built in 1543 by the Venetians, the door is very well preserved as there are remains of a fortress wall. The place is very good for photos if there is no crowd of tourists naturally.

Built in the Romanesque style like many of the churches in Tuscany, the outside of the Cathedral is very interesting. Inside, not so much

A great place to see, in this area a series of movies about Winnetou has been filmed. I recommend to leave the car next to asphalt road, and take a walk to the view point, it is just few minutes walk, but it is not worth to risk car damage driving this short distance.

    Really recommend !

A really fun trip, enjoyed by five 22/23 year olds! Spent a happy hour in here and particularly enjoyed the more immersive exhibits like the vortex and tilted room. Maybe the entry fee a little too much for a fairly small museum, but definitely recommend for a rainy day or a break from the sun! :)

Its name refers to Donatus of Zadar, who began construction on this church in the 9th century and ended it on the northeastern part of the Roman forum. The oldest of the churches in Zadar, It has has exceptional acoustic characteristics and has been used for concerts. Do not expect elaborate interiors because it does not have any but the views from the interior are worth it and the entrance fee is very reasonable.

The remains of the Roman Forum are interesting not so much because they are preserved, but because of the way they fit into the modern city. They are located in the very center of the Old Town and look OK

Such a beautiful old church to have a wander around. Still a working church holding mass, its many features make it a secret gem of Zadar.

A nice place for a walk, it goes from the Sea Organ to the University of Zadar and has nice views, playgrounds kind of like a park.

An interesting and very well arranged museum, telling the history of the surrounding lands from Prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. All exhibits are described in English, with special attention paid to Ancient Rome. Overall, it's not very big, but I liked it and recommend it for a visit if you're in Zadar.

Peoples Square; Since its Medieval origins Narodni Trg has been the core of Zadar's public life. Dominating the westerns side of the square, the City Guard dates back to the 1562 and it's crested by a 19th-century clock tower. Nearby, St. Lawrence church is the oldest preserved building of the town, while the Loggia on the opposite side is now a venue for exhibitions. It is only small but perfectly formed.

This is an interesting museum with mostly Roman era glass from the 1st to 3rd century AD. It doesn't take long to see everything and the information is also in English too. There is a gift shop with interesting glass souvenirs.

Very pebbly beach and lots of pebbles when you go into the sea. Buy a pair of rubber water shoes if you are going. the sea is lovely and clear. You can rent plastic sun beds and if you are early enough can get under a fixed straw parasel. Plenty of places to sunbath on the grass or concrete. I didn't find any sand at this beach but had a lovely day. There is a diving board on the front.
