Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A most beautiful church inside and out and still in use to-day. Beside it is a tree not to be missed while you're on Norfolk.

This is an excellent display telling the whole story of the Pitcairns peoples history and endurance. The artwork is superb and I left feeling like I knew so much more about them and their journey. Would recommend this experience for sure. Then take a wander around the beautiful gallery, buy yourself a gift.

Cluttered, but with so much fascinating history and details. A ticket covering unlimited stays during a Norfolk visit makes it great value as well. With so much to read and digest, several visits are warranted.

One of the reasons we visited Norfolk Island was to learn more about the history of the island, from the time of first settlement, Mutiny on the Bounty, penal colony etc. The local museums certainly provide a great insight into all of those. We saw the recovered relics from HMS Sirius, which was wrecked on the reef at Slaughter Bay, Kingston, about 90m offshore on 19th March 1790.
Divers in the 1980's recovered the 3 anchors, lead ballast, carronades and cannon balls, musket balls, copper nails, bottles, sextant etc, all on display. As well as the HMS Sirius Museum, visitors should ensure they also go through the Pier Store Museum, REO (former Royal Engineers Office), the Commissariat Store and No. 10 Quality Row. Anyone looking to discover more about their ancestors, can get assistance at the Research Centre at No. 9 Quality Row.

Very helpful staff in here and we were delighted to get a 'Norfolk Island' stamp in our passports - it is only an unofficial one, as they will explain. We booked a tour through here and our accommodation was also booked through here online. It is right next to where they have a market (I think on Sunday). Central spot.

This gallery has the best quality artwork by local artists and is great for that special gift for yourself or someone who deserves something better than average. Colourful and plenty of variety. Items include jewellery, glass items, silver, prints, paintings, fabrics and more. Don’t miss dropping in. Close to the downtown shopping area.

Quaint little shop with some nice art work. Best t-shirts designs on Norfolk Island. Very nice service.

I have seen the "Trial of the fifteen" here twice now and 6 years apart. Both times we enjoyed the acting and the story was instructive about history of the island. It gives a good starting point if you are new to the island. The snack bar and foyer are good places to mingle. I believe they cater for functions here too.

The outside of the Church is very plain as it was a government building. The father of a friend had been the minister of this church in the 1940s. We were surprised that there are few services held. There was none on Palm Sunday when we visited. Very clean and well kept, it is worth a look.

I visited Norfolk Island Liqueurs as part of a tour when visiting Norfolk Island. I am not a big drinker but am disappointed that I didn’t buy the maximum allowable litres to bring home. The distillery is quaint and well worth a visit….or 2 ☺️

This shop is a must to visit when you travel to Norfolk Island. This shop seemed to be open most days even when others were closed. The owner was very helpful and friendly and there is definitely something for everyone in this store and all price ranges. The shop was very clean and modern and well set out and smelt wonderful.

The Trial of 15 is held in the Ferny Lane Theater once a week (depending on bookings) and is fiction, based on very sound fact, which is lively and entertaining. The theater is small but comfortable, and the first people to enter can even get armchairs. Fifteen of the main characters involved in the past of the island are tried and sentenced, ranging from the devil, to Captain Cook, and commandants and their wives. Most entertaining, and a bit of fun.

Reflections is a lovely small shop opposite the bank. A must-visit for anyone interested in sewing, quilting, crafts, art. Some local artists sell their creations in this shop. The staff are very helpful. They sell essential oils and on one visit the most wonderful fragrance permeated the store.

Wonderful example of historic Georgian buildings.
    A must see.
Museums in some buildings, information available but possibly a guided tour beneficial.
