Quiet apart from the absolutely STUNNING dives we did he was professional, courteous, his staff were all friendly and supportive ad we couldn't have asked for more. Even the swims stops between dives were super cool and the amount of not only fish we saw but bird life (and crabs too boot!) made this trip and unforgettable experience getting close to all the beautiful inhabitants of Christmas Island. - T A M6 contributionsDiving off Christmas Island is staggering, with dramatic drop offs, coral, fish including reef sharks, in 30-40 metre visibility, and 30 C water. Our group were accommodated across from the Extra Divers base, which is next to the Golden Bosun pub - sweet! The boat loads gear and divers from Flying Fish Cove normally, but when the wind made this tricky, the whole operation moved to Ethel Beach. Landslide, red crab migration, coconut crabs, and booby and frigate birds. Food is pricey, but local Malay kitchens were excellent, as was the pub food. - jennis5420192 contributionsI had a fabulous and very comprehensive week on Christmas Island with a small group booked through Australian Geographic. Our daily schedule and catering was organised by Lisa Preston of Indian Ocean Experiences, and Chris Carr was our very knowledgeable and friendly driver/guide. While we were there primarily to see the red crabs migration and spawning, we were taken around the island to see many other types of crabs from the large robber crabs to the small hermit crabs; the crab bridge; many bird species; natural environments - beaches, forests, blow holes accessed by walking tracks (some longer than others depending on the migrating crabs) or viewed from lookouts; and of course the cultural interactions of the many different nationalities who live on the island. - Explore619674696284 contributionsNathan was very accommodating in taking my husband out first (and earliest) for some fishing. Hubby caught a wahoo! Then at a more reasonable time they came back and I met them at the pier for a lovely sightseeing morning along the island coastline.
Nathan was easy to listen to with his explanations and local knowledge.
Stopped off for some snorkelling and cave viewing before the final destination of swimming with the GT's.

Everything was explained and the equipment very easy to operate.
We had a fantastic time and I would happily have stayed in the water all day.
