Inca complex surrounded by walls that are made by fitting stones tightly together without any mortar. This may have been a fortress, or fortified center.
It is stunning to see that the stones are so closely spaced with each other that a single piece of paper will not fit between many of the stones. Take time to walk around and understand the history explained by the local guides.

My family and I did the Inka Trail Classic 4 days – 3 nights with Local Trekkers Peru and it was the best experience in our lives. I first exchanged with Alberto the Manager by email and he answered every single question I had very nicely and clearly (and I had a lot of questions).
We had a delay in our flight and we arrived at Cusco late at night and still Alberto was in his office waiting for us with a huge smile that cleared up all the stress away. We were worried because our Trek would start the day after
We requested an extra porter at the very last minute and we were able to have it without problem.

During the trek our guide was Paul and he was the best guide I ever had (I had few other very good but he was close to perfect!). He only provided useful and interesting information, he was very calm in all circumstances. He knew all the best way and not crowded paths. Before every trek, he used to brief us and give us different options to customize our trek if wanted, He left us our time when we needed it.

He was very listening to our needs and did not hesitate to change the plans when we asked for it. He has a very good knowledge of the Inca trail, culture and nature. Paul doesn’t give useless information or all-day jokes. He has just the right amount of discussion. We had very joyful and peaceful moments.
It was very enjoyable to do this trek with him and absolutely zero stress.
If I come back I would really insist to have him as a guide. He made our experience perfect and very unique.

Our Chef was Timoteo and the food he prepared us, was outstanding he was always preparing delicious and differents dishes with a touch of exquisite taste. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was plentitful, to be exact was the best food we tried during our stay in Cusco. Our porters they were always smiling and very nice. We had few moments of big laughter with them as well!. I also encourage all trekkers to take an extra porter.

In conclusiĂłn i would like to recommend Local Trekkers Peru as your Inka Trail Operator you will not Regret.

My husband and I did the Laguna Humantay tour with Terra Quechua Peru and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The agency was very professional from the very beginning, making sure everything was in order for us to enjoy the experience to the fullest. The hike was a bit challenging, but the views along the way were simply spectacular, and when we arrived at the lagoon, the scenery left us speechless.
After the tour, we were served a typical lunch that was the perfect reward after the effort. They also offered the possibility of doing part of the ride on horseback, which was an excellent option for some of the group.

A city with a rich history, reflecting a combination of old and new. I enjoyed the fact that there is the city center and then there are remains of stone structures on the outskirts.

    -Cusco's main square
    -busy and vibrant
-home to iconic buildings-Cusco Cathedral and Church
-hosts city's important gathering (new year fiesta takes place here)
    -variety of restaurant and eateries
-just a few mins walk to San Peadro (local bustling market, which is a must visit)
-local vendors selling paintings, alpaca clothing etc.
-plenty of opportunities to tale photos

Playa De Armas was only 5mins. walk from our JWM hotel. We came here everyday atleast twice. It is the happening place and we loved it!

Very beautiful and serene stop. The entrance ticket covers the whole complex and has so much to see. Sadly you're not able to photograph to remember. Guides are available outside to explain more of what you're seeing, which can be helpful especially if you're not of the Catholic faith. Would definitely recommend.

I love chocolate! So when we found we had an extra day of acclimating before trekking through Peru, I booked the Bean to Bar workshop for my wife and I. Our "Willy Wonka" instructor was fabulous. She was funny, informative, and interacted with our entire group. We completed almost the entire process of making chocolate from picking our our beans, roasting them, peeling, making them into paste, and even more along the way. We had competitions and laughed throughout the tour. In the end, we were provided with our choice of dark or milk chocolate to mold and take home with us.

If you have a couple of extra hours in Cusco and you love chocolate, I highly recommend this tour.

We’re from the United States and had always dreamed of doing a trek in the Andes. A friend recommended Terra Quechua Peru to us, and we couldn’t be happier with their service! The Ausangate Trek was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The landscapes were absolutely surreal—snow-capped peaks, turquoise lakes, and vibrant rainbow mountains. Hiking alongside alpacas and llamas felt like something out of a storybook. The team took excellent care of us, from setting up cozy campsites to preparing delicious meals that kept us energized. Traveling with my best friends made it even more special, and Terra Quechua Perú made sure every detail was perfect. If you’re planning an adventure like this, they’re the agency to trust

I was on a half day tour with Sur Tours and this was one of the sites that we visited.
The Incan archaeological complex of Tipon is known for its water channels and agricultural terraces (andenes) which were built to create microclimates that enabled the Incas to experiment with hybrid cereals and crops, one reason why Peru today produces more than 3,000 varieties of potato. The water channels of Tipon are believed to be used as a ceremonial centre by the Incas to worship water. Water continues to flow in them, 500 years after their construction. There are various trails from the main one to visit several buildings.

Wonderful place. Architectural marvel on top of sacred Inca sights-- but beautiful and interesting even beyond that fact.

This was one of the best massage experiences I've ever had. Starting with the float tank and then into the therapeutic massage. We chose this place because of the Post trek option, which we needed after climbing Huaynu Picchu the day before. If you are in need of relief while on Cusco I highly recommend ReEnergize Cusco. Thanks for a great experience Dan, see you next time.

Our hike to Rainbow Mountain was the highlight of our trip! Our guide was Eduardo and he was amazing, he told us so much about the history and culture of the area and was so kind and friendly, he really made the experience exceptional. The hike was a little slow going because we’re from a coastal area and struggled with the altitude but Eduardo was very patient and didn’t rush us at all. The view was incredible and we met two locals with llamas and alpacas and let us pose with them for these photos. The food included was also amazing and the driver was very safe and careful on the dirt road. Everyone should book with this company!
