My girlfriend and I were not able to book the 4 day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, but we had the opportunity to do the short 2 day version. Therefore, the TERRA QUECHUA PERU team organised an excellent trek and we would like to thank them for all the support, the transfers, the drivers, the good accommodation in Aguas Calientes and our guide Edwar, who provided a fantastic service along the Inca Trail, arriving at the sun gate the view is spectacular, and our guide played his flute, he made me feel connected with Machupichu, and as we arrived at sunset time the view is very nice and there are not many people, and the next day we visited the Machupicchu Citadel and we also had the experience of doing the Huaynapicchu and to finish the vista dome train with show. Really incredible. I RECOMMEND IT!!!

Interesting to learn how the Incas interpreted the stars and constellations, and how they worked this into the design of their citadels. We also got to look through telescopes, and had a really interesting presentation in the small Planetarium. You can certainly feel their passion for their work!

We travelled with Terra Quechua Peru and it was spectacular, very well looked after, and the guide and driver were superb. We started very early with a super breakfast at Mollepata !!!! and then the hike. From the moment you set off on the hike, you enter a dreamlike landscape, where snow-capped mountains and green valleys surround you, creating a stunning backdrop for this adventure.
As you approach the lagoon, the fresh high mountain air envelops you, as you enter a meandering trail that takes you through pristine and unspoiled nature.
Finally, when you reach the Humantay Lagoon, you will be met with a spectacle of indescribable beauty. The shimmering turquoise water, fed by the thawing of the mountains, is in perfect harmony with the clear skies and snow-capped peaks that surround it. It is a moment of pure serenity and connection with nature, where you can sit and contemplate the majesty of this sacred place.

This was an adventure I will always remember thanks to Terra Quechua Peru. The entire trip was wonderfully facilitated. From our super knowledgeable and helpful guide, Gabriel, to the porters and chefs; all were very attentive to the needs of the group and willing to help in any way. Very impressed by their hard work and dedication to make the trip of a lifetime possible. The scenery we went through was absolutely breathtaking and we were completely immersed in the natural world, with minimal distractions from other groups or people in general.

I'm very grateful to Terra Quechua Peru and highly recommend this local company!

It's not a zoo. They keep these injured animals with an aim to release them back into the wild. The Condors were really majestic. They have around 11 and considering there are only around 150 left in the wild in Peru. They also have vicunas and the Andean Bear. I was also lucky to see a military macaw and a toucan ( rescued from a pet/ animal activity centre). For the animals they are planning to release on the wild, they keep them secluded which is a great idea. They also had the Andean bob cats. Overall small place, but if you love wildlife and interested in wildlife conservation, you should pay them a visit. This is very close to Pisaq/ Cusco and you need to keep 30 mins for this activity.

I went in here without a guide as I had free time. I wish I had a guide to help explain more about it. The architecture is superb and the crypts are something else, the smell really gives an ambience.

I guess I had one of the best massages ever! Dhruva really knows what to do to make your muscles and your whole body feel better. I can really recommend to have this massage in Cusco, for example after an exhausting hike or just if you want to relax a little.

The drinks were 100% and Dario and Leslie's attention was excellent and the music was good. I recommend always coming with friends or having a glass alone

There is a reason this is the number one tour operator in the Cusco region! I was so impressed with the hike and the attention to detail that myself and my daughter received.

Sergio was our mountain guide and was passionate about the pachamama (mother earth) and apus (mountains). I felt his passion for his country, the history, the people and the land. What more could you ask for in a guide? Well, he was also very attentive to our group and wanted to make sure we were all having a good time. When I had slight altitude sickness the first night (at the glass cabanas - 3900m), Sergio made sure I was OK and walked me through what to expect and how to get better. I woke up feeling great the next day.
As for the food, Marcos (head chef) and Fortunata (assistant chef), were better than I could imagine. They kept us well fed and there were always so many options of food to eat. Most meals there were 5-6 options to choose from.

Which hike was better? Salkantay or Inca? I am an avid backpacker (I've hiked in NZ, europe, Canada, USA) and I preferred the quietness of the Salkantay trek. The Peruvian Andes are so beautiful and it was a great experience to get close to glaciers and hear avalanches all evening long. I also enjoyed seeing the mountain culture and how the people are able to live at such high elevations.
The Inca trail was much busier but the Inca ruins along the trail are impressive and really set the tone for the ultimate ending at Machu Picchu. Sergio gave us great teaching about the ruins and the mountains along the way.

I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to really enjoy two types of trips in one with the end goal of seeing Machu Picchu.

When we booked this tour with Gabriel we didn’t really know what to expect because it was our first day in Cusco. However, it was such a lovely experience that we will never forget. We feel like we got a special taste of Cusco that we never would have gotten otherwise. The horses were so beautifully behaved, the views were unreal, and Gabriel’s knowledge of the area and of the history was priceless. Not to mention the fact that we got our own private tour just by luck because the other tourists called sick at the last minute. We are sooo grateful for Gabriel’s kindness and willingness to go above and beyond. Highly recommend!!!!

Incredible experience in Cusco! Probably one of the best massages I’ve ever had, including Asian countries. Dan is really a master in what he does. The place has all necessary structure and I was curious to test the machines they had. 100% recommended.

Dario was a very thoughtful and well explained guide on the 7 Lakes trail. He even helped provide some first aid support for a nosebleed, got them on a horse when they wanted to continue, and provided oxygen for them afterwards. He offered them a front seat in the car to make the ride back easier as well.
