I was on a half day city tour with Travel 1 Tour and this was one of 4 stops. This site was so impressive and massive that I could have spent hours checking it out. It is spread out across a large area that you never felt crowded by other visitors. Bathrooms are by the lower parking lot.

This archaeological site located on a hilltop overlooking the city and adjacent valley was built with huge stones by the Inca Pachacutec in the 15th c. Saqsaywaman is an impressive complex which had both a religious and military purpose. The fortress, known as the 'storehouse of the sun', incorporates some of the largest black stones ever used in a building, some weighing nearly 300 tons. The zig-zag walls represent the teeth of the sacred puma and provide an excellent defensive structure. The stones fit so perfectly together without mortar that not even moss can grow in the cracks. Massive stone terraces line the site, along with ruins of large structures whose origins are, like much of what the Incas left behind, shrouded in mystery.

We chose Terra Quechua Peru to do the 4-day Inca Trail, and it was a fantastic experience. My husband and I wanted a different kind of adventure and this tour was exactly what we were looking for. The hikes were demanding, but the rewards in the form of scenic views and Inca ruins made it worth it. The guide Adrian was very professional and shared fascinating stories about the culture and history of the Incas.

The activities were well distributed, with time to rest, explore archaeological sites and enjoy the meals prepared by the team cooks. The nights in the camps were very quiet. Arrival at Machu Picchu was the perfect culmination of a trip full of challenges, but also of gratitude for all that we experienced together. Terra Quechua Peru organized everything beautifully

We travelled with Terra Quechua Peru and it was spectacular, very well looked after, the guide and driver were super.
The hike was a little demanding, but the views all the way were spectacular, and the arrival at the turquoise lagoon was magical. Our guide was excellent, always attentive and explaining interesting facts about the place.
After the walk, we were offered a delicious lunch which we enjoyed in an incredible setting.

The Terra Quechua Peru team not only took us to the Montaña de Colores, but immersed us in a profound cultural experience. Every step to the top was full of discoveries, from the unique flora and fauna to the changes in the landscape that reveal centuries of geological history. I highly recommend this agency not only for their professionalism and knowledge, but for their commitment to sustainable tourism that respects and protects this incredible natural environment.

Myself and a friends decided to do a trek in Peru but as amateur trekkers we did not know where to even begin. We stumbled upon Local Trekkers Peru during our long search for the right trekking company and immediately warmed to the accomodating and helpful nature of Alberto the manager. He was able to help with any questions we had, at any hour and also made organising the trek incredibly easy.
The trek itself was incredible and very hard Our guide Hendrik was incredibly professional, caring, funny and knowledgable in aspects of the trek's culture, religion, landscape, weather, inca’s history and much more. We could not be happier with our awesome guide who truly made our trek the best it could have possibly been!

We arrived to the rainbow mountain on the third day and was the best day of the entire Trek, is not easy to get there but once there is really Amazing how the nature could build a mountain with seven o more different colours we arrived much early than other people and we could better enjoy the mountain just for us, that was something i will nver forget.

We had an excellent cookman Paulino called the Master Chef from de Andes, and that was not a lie because he prepared us the best peruvian food we tried before, all meals was served in a buffet style always a lot to reload energy to continue until the end of the Trek thanks to him we were able to do and finish this challenge Trek. Also our horseman Augusto was very helpful carrying all food and equipment with their horses.

I would highly recommend Local Trekkers Peru not only for their excellent service but also for the extraordinary experieces we had with them I will definitely be using this company for our next trek as well.

I was on a half day tour with Sur Tours and this was one of the sites that we visited.
The Incan archaeological complex of Tipon is known for its water channels and agricultural terraces (andenes) which were built to create microclimates that enabled the Incas to experiment with hybrid cereals and crops, one reason why Peru today produces more than 3,000 varieties of potato. The water channels of Tipon are believed to be used as a ceremonial centre by the Incas to worship water. Water continues to flow in them, 500 years after their construction. There are various trails from the main one to visit several buildings.

I was on a half day city tour with Travel 1 Tours and this was one of 4 stops.
There wasn't much left to see after the Spanish arrived. Inca ceremonial center of Q'enqo is an ancient worship site that also displays impressive stonework. Archaeologists believe this was a significant site where ritualistic sacrifices and mummification took place. Little remains of the paths, aqueducts, enclosures, deposits, or liturgical baths. It was said that a great layer of gold use to illuminate the entire place.

"I did the Inka Jungle Trail to MachuPicchu with Local Trekkers Peru and it was like embarking on an odyssey that mixed the excitement of cycling, the adrenaline of rafting and ziplining, the beauty of nature and the richness of Inca culture.

Every day on the trail revealed landscapes impressive and ending up in MachuPicchu after 4 days of adventure, is something that cannot be explained in words. The agency not only provided impeccable logistics, but also injected a dose of authentic adventure into every moment. I thank Daniel our guide for converting This trip in an unforgettable experience.

The Inka Jungle Trail with Local Trekkers Peru is an experience that I will always recommend to all those looking for a reliable company.

My day tour of Rainbow Mountain with Alpaca was a great experience. Although the weather was cold and I struggled with the altitude it was well worth the hike up for the beautiful scenery and Luz was an amazing guide. The food and transport were excellent. Would recommend.

When we booked this tour with Gabriel we didn’t really know what to expect because it was our first day in Cusco. However, it was such a lovely experience that we will never forget. We feel like we got a special taste of Cusco that we never would have gotten otherwise. The horses were so beautifully behaved, the views were unreal, and Gabriel’s knowledge of the area and of the history was priceless. Not to mention the fact that we got our own private tour just by luck because the other tourists called sick at the last minute. We are sooo grateful for Gabriel’s kindness and willingness to go above and beyond. Highly recommend!!!!
