Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow! This was a totally unique experience. I’ve never rock climbed before and neither has my husband. We managed it, though and while there are moments which really make your heart flutter, it was worth it. Lunch in the glass pods high above the sacred valley was wonderful! Really delicious and with that backdrop…just wow. The guys at the climb are experienced, patient and cheerful! How they cooked such a wonderful lunch all the way up there was beyond me but I’m so grateful I got to benefit from it. The zip lining on the way down was exhilarating too! It was a once in a lifetime experience. It does require some level of physical fitness, though. My husband and I are in our late 50’s/early 60’s and we certainly managed it okay but it was work - just an FYI.

Anderson, our guide, was really funny and tried to make it as exciting as it can be for us during the rafting. The sauna was great afterwards and there was also a possibility to take a hot shower. Lunch was good, not that special but still very good!

A wonderful adventure tour to Machu Picchu along the Inca Jungle Trail.
We had an amazing time on our Inca Jungle Trail expeditions. Vidal and Jose Antonio went above and beyond to make our time on the trek and our visit to Machu Picchu the best it could possibly be.

Day one involved mountain biking and whitewater rafting. Both activities were so much fun (even for me, who has never done these). The bikes were in great condition, and Jose, our guide, supported us the entire experience. We also stayed in some beautiful lodges along the way, where we were treated to amazing food.

Day two involved hiking through the forest and across the side of the mountains with some stunning views. We learned so much about Inca history and local life and tasted incredible jungle fruits as well as coffee. Jose took us to different water falls, where we saw some wildlife of the area, including snakes, frogs, and many birds.
We ended this trip in the hot spring, where we relaxed our tired bodies after hiking for more than 6 hours.

Day three was more relaxed; we enjoyed the zipline on different cables in the valley, followed by a couple hours of hiking along the railway until we reached Aguas Calientes town. Jose explained to us about the area and gave us a chance to see a bit of Machu Picchu.
We were so excited to be close to it.

And the important day comes when we finally arrive at Machu Picchu. It obviously doesn't need to be described how incredible this was.

Honestly, this local company, Vidal Expeditions, adds extra details to make your journey totally different from other operators in Cusco. A small group of maximum eight people allowed us to have more connection with nature, learn more about the area, have more time visiting each place, and don't wait too long during the different activities. Jose Antonio was a super guide who has always been attentive to everyone in the group. The food was the most varied that I have ever tried during any other trip.

I could not recommend this tour more!

The location of this zipline tour is beautiful. The instructors are courteous and happy to make you feel safe. The hike up isn't really too hard, and the ziplines are super fun, even if you forget to brake when they tell you to.

I wish we could have stayed in one of the pods up higher on the mountain. That looks like it would be epic!

Anyway, if you have the time when in Peru, don't miss the chance to do this.

We booked the Inca Jungle Tour 4D/3N with Elvis from NewPeruAdventures in our Hostel. We only booked one day before the tour itself but everything was taken care off. He even arranged a short briefing with the tourguide the same night, so we could already meet him and get to know all the details. Very well organized trip, definitely recommend it. Also stayed in touch with Elvis via whatsapp during the trip when we had questions or concerns. He really put in a lot of afford to make sure everything was alright for us. Thanks!

Such a cool experience, really really enjoyed it even if the last one was way bigger than I expected. Doesn’t take long, only about half an hour altogether

We booked the 5-day Salkantay trek through Jorge, who kindly arranged all details of our excursion in a group of 16 people, accompanied by 2 amazing guides (Jean-Paul and Manolo). Everything was seamless! We rented walking sticks and sleeping bags from the agency, duffle bags were provided for free to carry up to 3kg of personal luggage by horse. All the equipment was in very good state. The price of the entry to the Machu Picchu was included in our package, but we had to purchase the tickets ourselves on the day before our visit to the site (in Aguas Calientes).
The accommodations were fantastic (cabins in lovely campsites), and 3 large meals were provided per day, plus snacks, hot chocolate, tea and coffee. We were woken up at dawn each day with a hot coca tea.
The package included a visit to the Santa Teresa hot springs, and a return by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, which I highly recommend (quick, confortable and a whole experience in itself).
