As I was on my first solo trip to Peru, doing this excursion was at the top of my list! For all the accommodations and transportation the price is a great deal. Our tour guide (Super Wally) was responsive, helpful and overall wonderful. He communicated with us the whole time about our itinerary and the history of Rainbow mountain. He made sure no one was left behind on the trek and checked in numerous times to ensure I and others were okay. The views were breathtaking both literally and figuratively if you're not used to high altitudes but absolutely worth it!! I would recommend both Wally and Chullos Travel Peru if you plan on visiting Peru! 😁

Was the highlight of my whole South America experience. Our guide Luis couldn’t have been any better. Was super good at pointing out wildlife and had adept knowledge of the Amazon. Perfectly curated our tour for me and my two mates, and it was an individual experience like no other. Food was amazing as well, from a local chef, using products found in and around the Amazon, added to the experience even more. Couldn’t recommend more.

Incredible day. Thanks to our guide Moises, he was very knowledgeable about the geography, history as well as safety. Easy to communicate with through WhatsApp. My family (2 adults, 2 teenagers) did this in January, offseason which is also rainy season. But don’t let that deter you. While it rained/snowed at times, it was sunny and beautiful minutes later. Pack accordingly (layers) bring good boots/shoes/jackets/hats/sunscreen/sunglasses/water. You will have the opportunity to buy ponchos. This excursion provides the hiking sticks. We hiked up in the snow which made the mountains white and beautiful, but clouds came through and melted a lot of the snow. So we descended with the mountains green! Essentially two different hikes. Visibility of Rainbow mountain wasn’t great, could only see 3/7 colors. But the beauty of hike was still worth it. The altitude is tough, be sure to hydrate in advance, drink coca tea and use the agua de Florida spritzes offered, they help!

They arranged a wonderful driver to pick us up. He only spoke Spanish but he and my husband managed to communicate quite well. We had an english speaking guide, and we were able to get so close to the Peruvian condor that it was amazing. He told us which animals they are rehabbing to be released back into the wild and the rescue animals from people who have to stay. One toucan had been used by his previous owners to open bottles, which eventually destroyed his beak. 2 years later, it has grown back. Some of the released animals have returned and stay there, so you know they are getting great care. Amazing experience.

The views were amazing and our lunch was wonderful. We had a perfect day with the clouds parting for some wonderful shots of the mountains. Freddy was an absolute treat, and made our experience a wonderful time filled with laughter and good conversation. 💯 recommend

So far, the best part for me. Marco was a great guide who know well the jungle. Everybody enjoyed the three days! So many beautiful things to see: the animals, the flowers, the trees and insects.

Visiting Rainbow Mountain was an incredible adventure! The colors of the mountain made the challenging hike absolutely worth it. Our guide was knowledgeable and supportive, ensuring we acclimatized properly and took breaks when needed. The high altitude was tough, but the stunning views at the top were beyond rewarding. Seeing the vibrant layers of the mountain in person was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommend this tour for nature lovers and adventure seekers!

Quite an insightful tour. Vidal was a very nice and excellent tour guide and shared many insightful information about the place, flora and fauna. We also had the opportunity of savoring some local food. These were the perfect 4 days of our trip to Peru.

Excellent trip. The information provided before the trip was very useful and should be followed. Wally was always available for any question before, during and even after. Very helpful during the hike. Personally I would definitely come back and hike with him. The breakfast and lunch were very good and was including Peruvian specialities.
