We had a great experience, our guide was both knowledgeable, and patient with everyone as they learned how to operate the ATV’s. It was a unique way to combine a little of adventure with a learning experience.

This was the best decision we could have made for Rainbow Mountain. The altitude is insane. We wanted to enjoy and this was perfect!

I was really nervous about the buffet style food, but the food was fantastic! They do have vegan/plant-base options. I had really delicious food that fueled me throughout the day. I did message Beto like 100 times to remember me for the vegan food so maybe that had something to do with it. I'm not sure. The buffet had vegan options that reflected traditional languages local dishes so I was very happy.

Our guide was AMAZING at taking pictures. He helped us get the best spots, be on time without feeling rushed, and keep us safe. He warned us that there was going to likely be rain despite our phones telling us no rain. He was looking at the clouds and told us it was going to rain, which it did. Thank goodness because the ride back would have been horrific without the rain ponchos we purchased for 5 soles each. If you have bandanas or something to cover your nose and mouth, bring it. We were so glad we purchased it at the buffet place.

Our guide was absolutely wonderful. His English was lacking a bit, but he had a clear accent when he spoke. There were a couple of people on the tour that spoke Spanish so they helped translate at times. ATV's are super easy, so after learning the basics, it's a lot of hand signals, pictures, and fun. It's not a history tour, LOL.

I recommend viajes speedy. They communicated with me all the time through Whatsapp, they were on time to pick us up, and provided all the necessary information before and during the tour.

Info in case you need it:
We had so many people saying all sorts of different things about what to expect. Here is what we experienced:

You will ride ATVs for 1hr 10min each way. When you get to the base of rainbow mountain there are three options:
    1. Hike at 17000+ feet for 45-60 min minimum. If you do this, be sure to hydrate. The elevation is no joke.
    2. Ride horses. We didn't see the horses, but they cost 90 soles round trip or 80 soles one way. Don't know why they break it up. This take 45 min since the horses have to walk there.
    3. Ride motorcycles. This was the option we chose. It cost 90 soles round trip or 80 soles one way. It takes 10 minutes each way. In my opinion, this was the best option because it gives you enough time to take as many pictures as your heart desires. We found that Rainbow Mountain is pretty small, but the surroundings are just absolutely spectacular and you'll want time to explore all of it. We had about an hour up there and it went by extremely quickly.

Also, the restrooms before rainbow mountain were absolutely pristine. There were several stops along the way. I really appreciated our guide telling us when to expect restroom stops so I could consistently keep hydrating.

The altitude at Rainbow mountain is crazy. We did the ATVs and the motorcycle. We only hiked the last little bit and we definitely were very tired.

If you don't want to hike, this is certainly the best way. The views to get to rainbow mountain alone are worth doing this option. Also, you return to Cusco at 4ish pm, which is great!

From pick-up to drop-off everything was super smooth! Riding quads up to rainbow mountain was amazing and that is the best way to take in this experience. Arturo, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing and accommodating. The breakfast was simple but filling for the day. The lunch was delicious. Nice buffet spread and everything tasted absolutely delicious. The bus ride was about 3 hours to get there and then 3 hours back. The quads to rainbow mountain was about an hour ride with the quads to get there and then an hour back. You also get to ride through rivers and bumpy terrain. It was so fun. At the entrance of rainbow maintain, we paid to have someone take us up on a dirty bike which was an awesome experience and not expensive at all. $10-15 US for that. We didn’t hike up because the air is so thin due to very high elevation. We did hike back down which wasn’t bad. We took a lot of pictures and Arturo took pics for us as well. Amazing experience. I’m glad we did this and would do it again.

It’s such an awesome way to get to see amazing Peruvian sights and while doing it feel super bad ass. Way better than a taxi or shuttle bus. This is the way to roam about, just wish I could do it more. Our guide (Joel) was awesome!

We had such a great time! Breathtaking views, our tour guide and driver were lovely. Learned some Quechua, had a blast on the ATVs, great lunch, would definitely recommend. Such a beautiful place to drive around on ATVs; was a great way to cover more ground without being exhausted hiking as much in the high altitude.

Hola, we just wanted to say what an amazing experience we had. My son (15) and I had a great time and made so many memories on this trip. It was only 3 days but it was jam packed with activity and adventure. The tour and our guide Charlie (Carlos) exceeded all expectations. His knowledge of the jungle was awesome and his English was very good. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

This experience was unforgettable, our guide, Rogelio, was excellent! Climbing to the top of the viewing area was unforgettable. A must see if you're in the Cusco area. From the start of the day, he sent me a message to coordinate the time to pick us up. We were a group of 14 people, including 4 children over 10 years old. Rogelio answered all our questions and recommended several things to alleviate the change in height. It is obvious that Rogelio likes his job, he is an expert in every sense.
The restaurant for breakfast and lunch was incredible! Very friendly and warm people. I would do this tour again! Thank you very much for your attention Rogelio, and for answering all our questions.

We started at 10:30 and drove for a little over an hour to the zip lines. There are 4 and they range from short to long (1 min). Then we took atvs to Lake Huaypo and took in the beautiful scenery. The next part took us by car to the salt mines, don’t skip this part! Then we finished with a short textile demonstration in Chinchero before heading back to Cusco. Samuel was awesome all the way, describing the land and his family’s places, local history, he even took helped us transfer our luggage to our new hotel! Don’t hesitate if you want to book this tour. It was just the 2 of us, the group sizes can vary, so it was VIP for us. Recommended!

QUECHUA'S customer service has been great, they accommodated us for a last minute trek - booking and contact process has been great. Staying at sky domes was awesome, luxury and incredible views, other 3 nights were pretty basic but no issues (except the hotel at aguas calientes which had a leak, you guys should change that one to another hotel). Food has been awesome on the trek - thanks to brilliant chef Leandro. Our guide was Fernando - he helped us throughout the trip to get to destinations with ease and I enjoyed his explanation about Machu Picchu a lot, he knew a ton of history!

We had such a great experience on this tour. There are SO MANY options, and I am glad we booked this one.

I booked this tour last minute for the next day and Jorge got back quickly and answered all my questions, so we were ready in the morning.

Our tour guide, Rogelio was also great. He was super friendly and happy to answer questions and take a couple photos for us.

You can do the hike up by van or by foot on the other side, but the ATV trip is breathtaking and exhilarating.

The path to Rainbow is absolutely beautiful, and being able to ride up on a ATV, was nothing short of amazing.

Due to the elevation, the hike up is INTENSE though, I must warn you. No matter how in shape you are, it is very hard to breathe with the steep incline.

Overall, it was so worth it!
