Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Took the train to and from AC from Ollantaytambo and it was overall a pretty good experience. The train was a little tight with the fold down table in front. The lineup early am was a little confusing and one of the workers looked at our ticket and told us to get on and then we realized it was the wrong car and she seemed to nod when we got off like she knew that so it was a little odd. The ride back we took the Vistadome which was decent. I didn’t see a lot of difference between the ride there and the ride back on Vistadome. The snack boxes they gave us were just ok - some crackers and cookies and coffee and water, anything else you have to pay for. The fashion show was fun but the prices were pretty high. Music show was entertaining. Train seems to go very slow and stops a lot. We were definitely late leaving AC station and arriving back to town.

Absolutely loved our journey with Hiram Bingham. Each and every single person on board went above and beyond to take care of our family- specially both girls ( 2 yrs and 8yrs old). They accommodated dietary restriction by serving vegetarian options on board and butter pastas for kids. Staff checked on us every 10 to 15 minutes. They all had memorized our last name from the minute we stepped on a train platform. Staff offered to take pictures on departure platform as well as on a train. I want to shout out to a special thanks to the manager who rushed us to a changing room upon our arrival to hiram Bingham hotel after getting drenched at machu pichhu. Staff member carried my 2 yrs old daughter to a changing area without hesitation of him getting wet. They also served dessert plates to kids at the end of our trip from Machu Picchu. They also took care of our luggage by sending our luggage straight to hotel while we were enjoying the view of Machu Picchu. They had ponchos, water bottles and brand new backpacks for every single passenger. Can’t forget to mention onboard live music and unlimited alcohol. Overall, it was well worth money spent and we came home with life time memories.
