My best friend and I took this amazing class with chef Alvaro and he started with a tour of the local market where we tried various fruits and chocolate and learned about the ingredients we’d be working with. We made 3 dishes and 2 drinks, all of which were delicious. The class was very organized and had a great flow. His assistants were lovely and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone looking for a cultural experience in Cuzco. Alvaro was such a pleasure and showed us a great time.

The host for the class was Karel, she was amazing! She was very engaging and kept the class fun while still giving us a full history of the cacoa and making the information fun with a nice balance of making it interactive (with props). It was a small class, just 3 students so it was a lot more personal, which I enjoyed. I would take the class again just for the experience, so lovely! We also got to taste so much! Chocolate tea, nibs, paste, and varied chocolate types throughout each step of the class.

Chef Luigi was amazing; he made us into artists! He used to notch ingredients and we learned a lot about these unfamiliar ingredients that only belong to Peru. I especially loved the dessert which captured the simple beauty of Peruvian fruits. It was so much healthier and brighter than the typical desserts we thinks of. I would highly recommend this class.

Dael was a great teacher and host! The mercado is huge and bustling, so it was really nice to have a knowledgable guide to help navigate and learn about all the different sections. The cooking class was a lot of fun - they have a very nice, well-equipped setup. The class had a great balance of hands-on cooking, while also having everything meticulously prepped and organized, so everything flowed really well. All the food tasted great and I learned a lot about Peruvian cuisine, I would definitely recommend this experience!

A necessary experience to get to know Peruvian gastronomy and the enormous variety of fruits and vegetables that are grown in Peru, with a visit to the market we chose the ingredients to prepare our dishes, Jesus explained to us with great passion how to cook each dish, telling us about its culture, a tour that you cannot miss, we will definitely return!! Thank you very much Jesus! Long live Peru! Greetings from Argentina, Fer and Nacho

We had such a great time with Yohon learning about Peruvian cooking and culture. We had visited the market on our own but the trip through the market with him was so interesting. He answered a lot of our questions. We had excellent instructions with cooking our meal and we feel like we can create the meal at home. 10 out of 10!

Randy, our bar crawl guide was funny, energetic and had the best places in the itinerary to see the night life of Cusco. The group with us was also amazing and consisted of some locals. It was a lot of fun! Made some new friends too! Best way to experience the city and meet a few locals! The entry to all the places we went to was super easy and all within walking distance. Great vibes altogether!

OMG! If there were more than 5 stars, this place deserves it. EVERYTHING was done with such grace, patience, and was so educational. Elvira was our cooking instructor and she was 5+++ . I very highly recommend everyone to include this cooking class here in your tour.

Excellent experience and great environment. Good option if you don’t have much time for a longer class, plus you’ll have a delicious dinner.
I went as a solo women traveler and felt comfortable during the class with chef Jesus and his assistant.

We did get lost , but Harry ( our food guide)was able to find us. We were reaching out to him he was already calling us to make sure we were ok. BTW he did send a text the day before confirming trip, he also sent me a text letting us know he was at the meeting spot.
First question he asked was were we ok , were we feeling good with the change in altitude fortunately for us we were feeling great. It was wonderful to meet someone from my neck of the woods. I am from South Carolina. He lived in North Carolina and he has been to Charleston several times so we had a great connection the first time we met. He was very considerate of our needs .The first stop he took us to was a juice bar at Mercado Central de San Pedro. A holistic juice bar to help us with the altitude sickness with all these different flavors of healthy juices. We looked at souvenirs, snacks, holistic aids to help with certain conditions.Went over the history of the market. Food of course was delicious, he was very knowledgeable about it all . Overall great time .

Excellent fun time with Randy, we were new to the Chocalate art and he showed us all we needed to produce some lovely bites to take away. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Pete’s Cooking Classes, run by the wonderful Dalia. She was enthusiastic and informative and spoke brilliantly in English and Spanish, teaching us all about the food we were making and how to make the best pisco sour!

Loved starting at the market and buying the food we needed for the meal, it was great to make it all from scratch, which was delicious!
