Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fairly well organized and secure for a Latin American open air market. Lots of tourist trinkets but they were usually over priced. The vegetables were OK, the meat and cheese were good, fresh and decently priced.

The "restaurants" were a bit dirty and crude.

Great experience! Nayruth and Summy were great. They helped us find the right presents for our love ones. Very attentive and full of energy!

We stopped here for hot chocolate and a brownie after reading all of the amazing reviews and we were not disappointed. The brownie was perhaps the best we've ever had in our lives... I wish I could go back to Cusco just to visit Xapiri!

Interesting place, where they explain to you how is the process of dyeing wool with natural pickets; like plants, flowers, volcanic stones, and minerals like salt as a catalyst, also the spinning and weaving process.

This is where the locals come to shop. El Baratillo has everything from super inexpensive souvenirs to brand name second-hand hiking clothes and shoes. We found Salomon hiking boots in perfect shape that fit my husband's big feet for $35. Retail $175.
There is so much hiking clothes and shoes to choose from. The used hiking shoes/boots are in a separate white building just down the main market area. Ask the locals where, and they'll show you the way. At the main market I bought souvenirs for 1/4 of the asking price at the Pisac market.
El Baratillo market is walking distance from Plaza de Armas no need for a taxi. The market can get a bit crowded in some areas but otherwise the experience is great!

A lot of religious art in a carved wood building.
I've enjoyed the visit and even if youre not into religion it's nice to see the place.

Wonderful ceramic store that looks like a museum, great handmade pieces that look like antiques in the best possible way. Could have bought so many pieces. Will be going back for sure. Also not expensive for the quality.

LOL the last traditional wood carver performs or works here! There are different adobe huts, its informative and no one bothers you, its fun to come if you are restless and want an adventure outside of Cusco. I took a collectivo for 2 sole after Tamboymachay, they have vicunia which is amazing they produce the softest yarn and they are cute... do I know the difference now btwn llamas and alpacas? yes! and they are part of the CAMELID genus... who knew~

Oh man, this family were such laid back and kind people! While my girlfriend had her tattoo done I spent time just talking (in broken Spanish) about music and travel and art! Great atmosphere here. The music being played was awesome too! Both the tattoos my partner and I received were so crisp and detailed and not a mistake was made! This is a must go to tattoo spot if you’re visiting Cusco!!

Everything this was delicious! We were a group of eight and had no problems finding comfortable seats and space. Situated in a calm and peaceful garden inside of a building, this place really amazed us. Really good and fresh food, especially the Andean potatos mix!
    Highly recommended!
