Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Inka team saved our holiday: Nice place, good music, big drinks, and friendly staff made our night in Cuzco.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was walkimg through Cusco and had to follow the music up the stairs to discover a perfect little jazz club. Small but perfectly formed. Excellent music by talented musicians, great drinks menu. You have to visit.Written 29 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TravelDancer2014Portland, OR3 contributionsI was visiting Cusco and Peru for a few weeks as a single female, I love salsa dancing, so I did a little investigation and eventually I found Makumberos which ended up being my favorite. It is a small discotec located right between San Blas and the Plaza de Armas. They played a lot of good and classic salsa and bachata music and there was a group of people always dancing. Every once and a while the instructor would bring everyone together to dance and learn the steps. He was very welcoming and made the evening fun for the crowd.
They played a good mix of salsa and bachata and the dance floor was flat and well lit. The seating was comfortable and it was easy to talk to other visitors if you wanted to or just relax and people watch. I had checked out some other dance places and the floors were very uneven, hard to see, or there were a bunch of creepy guys who wanted to dance too close but Makumero had a much more comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. I tried a couple of drinks on happy hour that were delicious as well. I came back a few times and would definitely recommend them to any dancer, or tourist who wants to go to a great Peruvian bar.Written 17 October 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
