What travellers are saying
- mary1 contributionThis is my favorite store in Quito, took an hour to decide what I wanted to get because my family and I wanted the entire stores collection! Absolutely beautiful clothing made by hand and amazing lasting qualityWritten 26 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CavydadCamarillo, CA2,202 contributionsAll the things you don’t really need! Fun to shop, inexpensive gifts, trinkets, and whatnots! Never accept the first price, it’s a game for the merchants. Just don’t be mercenary in bargaining, this is how the merchants make a living. If you really don’t want it say thank you and walk on by.Written 2 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Nancy SCastle Pines, CO89 contributionsWe love beautiful handicrafts which reflect the countries that we have visited. This is one of the best that we’ve found. The staff is charming and well-versed in their knowledge of the locale and artisan of each piece and the Museum upstairs is fascinating, not unlike Olga Fisch herself. We had a wonderful time, adding two wonderful tapestries to our home, and buying gifts for our friends and family.Written 9 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lkpm3Albany, NY106 contributionsAlthough a bit off the beaten path, this store was worth the trip. Of all the shops visited, this had the most original handcrafted items. Not cheap. But definitely not the run of the mill items.Written 12 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sebastián1 contributionToday I found this really nice English Bookshop and as an Ecuadorian guy this place is a gold mine because I found a lot books in English to help me with my studies the owner I can't remember his name but is an English man but he helped me so much in choosing the right books for me anyway I mention this place because it was a good place to find good and cheap books in English.Written 1 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Amy CArizona117 contributionsIf you love chocolate this is a must visit when in Quito!! Ring the buzzer, be let in to the lovely courtyard area, up the steps and you'll be in chocolate heaven! Hubby ordered a hot chocolate along with a brownie, decadent delight! I sampled the various % of chocolate and settled on 70% as being my favorite for dark chocolate. Two brownies to go, some chocolate bars and a bag of chocolate drops to make CC cookies at home ... Yumbos!Written 13 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- quitenio .77 contributionsWe enjoyed their vegan ice cream; however, they only have two flavors without sugar. Their ice cream, hot chocolate, and chocolate mousse was great! Customer service was outstanding!
Store has a small selection of organic/ superfoods, and a wide selection of their chocolate at excellent price.Written 18 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - lkpm3Albany, NY106 contributionsThis place is a bit hard to find. In swissotel. But is a FIND if you want handcrafted jewelry that reflects the country. Not cheap but worth it. I could have bought much than I did. They use gems and materials and themes of Ecuador. Necklaces in the$100+ range. Earrings $35+
Silver and gold.
Store hours might be a bit hazy. Went once and they looked like they were about to close yet it was way before posted time. Other great shops in same mini mall. A tagua jewelry shop which was not open when I was there and a couple of better quality souvenir shopsWritten 26 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Ali921Edinburgh, UK1,081 contributionsWell if you're going to buy some tourist tat, then this is a good as any place. Lots of choice and it's easy to remember where you've seen what as all stalls are clearly numbered. We wanted to buy coffee and chocolate and walked round the stalls asking the prices. Differences did exist and then it was easy to go the cheapest stall and start haggling from there. Remember though you're never going to get local prices. Again there was tourist police presence so felt very safe.Written 10 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Simon V1 contributionWent there with family, they have a wide variety of hand crafted objects that make perfect gifts. The staff is caring and the shop itself is wonderfully decorated. I recommend!Written 16 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Robert SDenver, CO19 contributionsThis place is the real deal and one of the few places outside of Manta that you can buy a real handmade Montecristi hat. The prices reflect the authenticity.Written 3 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
