We had to come back after visiting five years ago. We were not disappointed. The cloud forest planting may not have changed much, but it is so spectacular that it merits any number of visits…simply wonderful, with walkways to match. A must thing to do when in Singapore.

been here several times at daytime whenever i get to visit singapore during business trips. this time around, orchard road wowed me with its lavish display of colors and Christmas decors.

the malls along this road had spent quite a budget to illuminate their facade. i would say it's very impressive. just by walking, one gets to enjoy the sights and sound of the city.

never come here penniless. part of being in this lion city is to spend for bargain finds especially during sale season.

I stayed at the Changi Crowne Plaza the night before my departure flight. This hotel is so convenient since its directly connected to Changi Airport's terminal 3 where many Singapore Airlines flight depart. The mall is 7 floors - 2 basement levels and 1- 5 levels above ground. The Jewel waterfall is located after terminal 3. The waterfall can be viewed from all 7 levels. The waterfall is quite beautiful and relaxing. On the 2 lower levels there are unusual mushroom stools where you can sit and view the Jewel. Don't miss the Jewel if you land at Changi Airport.

Regret myself for not giving more time to visit this temple, to check the museum of Buddhist art and the main attraction, the sacred Buddha Tooth Relic which is located at the 4th floor. This temple was built in the 2000’s so relatively new; the idea came when the abbot of a Burmese monastery came to visit considering to spread some Buddha relics among the Southeast Asian countries, a temple was needed to house the relic.

The building design is said inspired by classical architecture from China’s Tang Dynasty but somehow I found it resembling with those Medieval Japanese castles. There was a worshipping ceremony when we were there and easy donations with credit cards.

Exceptional collection of flora of all varieties in an amazing display of waterfalls, curving, bending paths, and views from the canopy.

We visited five years ago, but not in December. Well what a transformation, it appeared that Christmas has taken over the flower dome! Decorated Christmas trees everywhere with presents and displays, including model trains- all good fun especially for the youngsters, but it did seem to dominate the plants in some areas. But no matter, still nice. Worth mentioning the Monet exhibition which was absolutely wonderful, with a spectacular screen show of impressionist painting - we have seen similar exhibitions in London (van Gough etc) and this is one not to miss.

My wife and I visited the National Museum of Singapore to fill a couple of hours during a day out, and we were pleasantly surprised! The exhibits were fascinating, providing a deep dive into Singapore’s history and the journey of how it became the vibrant city it is today. The museum is well worth a visit if you’re interested in learning more about the city and its heritage.

This place is a shock to the senses. It has everything in one place. The only downside is that many staff members don't speak English and are not very proactive in helping you. That aside, it has the most extensive selection of goods in one store I have ever seen in one place.

Huge mall with all the designer brands you’d ever want to look at. Has something for everyone.

Luxury mall with stunning shops and stunning views. Even the food court is luxury priced.

This is a must for anyone interested in the history of Singapore and/or World War II.
The audio tour is well done and worth the extra cost for the enhanced experience.

The location, Ft Canning Park, seems a worthwhile destination to explore as well! The grounds are lovely and the paths well marked.

Striking exhibition space, which you enter past lily ponds. The ticketing is really confusing and we had no idea what we had purchased beyond the digital exhibition. We all enjoyed this and found the visuals and interactivity pretty good, spending over an hour there. But the whole of the rest of the museum seemed to be given over to a Studio Ghibli exhibition which was of no interest to us, so diluting the value of our ticket. There does not seem to be any permanent exhibits and the science content overall is missing.

This museum focuses on the history of trade between Singapore, China, India, and the Middle East dating back to the 1400's. The displays are very well organized and show many objects of trade. I found this museum most Interesting and informative. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The museum can be seen from the Fullerton Hotel and is reached by crossing the bridge over the Singapore River. I highly recommend a visit.

ion orchard is a very busy establishment. it houses more than 300 retail shops that would suit your fancy - bags, shoes, clothes, restaurants, etc. this is where most tourists frequently go along orchard road mainly because there's a subway station inside the mall.

ion speaks of affluence. but you can still find cheap finds during sale season. they say you have not arrived in SG if you missed visiting this place.
