Don’t normally write reviews yet I want to help support fun local experiences. This location was easy to find and had a coffee shop to hang out in nearby if you get there a bit early. We had one other couple who was from abroad in our class and two local couples which made the experience fun and brought a different kind of experience and understanding of local culture. We started walking to the wet market and learned history of the area and context which made the cooking more entertaining and fun. We met some vendors and heard a bit of how to choose items. Then we went back and began cooking. Chef colin was entertaining, knowledgeable, and helped make me a better cook. Food was delicious and he gave us take-away containers because there was so much. We got the recipes at the end and I would feel comfortable trying these again at home. Overall would say it is a fun experience if you like cooking and want to learn a bit about local food and experiences.

The advert on Tripadvisor says you will "Enjoy a private and authentic cooking class in a cooking studio with host Colin who works as the main chef at a cooking studio and has previously worked in airlines, restaurants and hotels." I arrived for my class and it was NOT conducted by Colin. When I booked the class, the advert on Tripadvisor stated that you would cook laksa. That was false. I was told on the day of my class that you "must ask to cook laksa when you book". That is NOT what the advert on Tripadvisor stated when I booked. I was never informed by phone or email that Colin was unavailable/ sick/ had left the company before my class. I'm not sure what the consumer laws in Singapore are, but the information this company put on Tripadvisor would qualify as "false and misleading" advertising in Australia. Note to "Traveling Spoon". If circumstances change and you can't offer what you advertise, contact the customer and give them an option to cancel. Your company seems to value MONEY above CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. I feel like I was conned by this company and am very dissapointed by the experience.

My daughter booked us in for the Bao Bun Class.
Great hands on experience for something that we wanted to learn / do together.
The class instructor Chef Loreta Quitoles was very helpful and gave us a number of tips while we went through the recipes.
    A great experience for foodies.
Thank you to all the Team.

Never got to go to this class. The operator wanted to change the day of the class, which I agreed to. I asked for the time and address of the class and was told it would be at 9:00 AM, but given no address. I asked two more times and was given some confusing information, but no address. So three tries to get an address, no success, and now I'm sure I'm going to have to spend hours on the computer trying to get my money back.

I had an incredible time at the Pau Making Workshop with Nury Dian Xin. The workshop was not just about making cute looking paus and learning to pleat, but also to learn about the food industry in Singapore as well as giving back to the community. It was a heartwarming experience to be part of the food wastage recycling program and to distribute food to those in need. Well worth the morning spent. Kudos to the Nury team for their dedication and hospitality.

First of all, Eun Jung makes an extremely lovely and fun host. She sat us down for a small chat to get to know each other over a homemade plum drink (super yummy!) Along the way, she taught us what to do while sharing more tips ✨️ Commendable efforts to pre-prep the ingredients the day before, all that washing up for us and quality of ingredients provided are absolutely fresh. her efforts are nothing but genuine! Lots of humor and laughter exchanged during the class. Last but not least, the results of our cabbage and cucumber kimchi? Better than any kimchi I have ever eaten out there and nothing like homemade! Thank you EJ 선생님! We'll be back!! (Sorry for the super belated review 😅)

PS: We had the kimchi with everything! 🩷
