Very long beach. Beautiful especially the sunsets. Crystal clear blue water. Reasonably clean. Many dining options, bars and souvenir shops. Very busy and noisy. Not a place to relax. More a place to party!

Great experience, highly recommend. We stayed at the Four Points near the departure point so it was an easy walk over for us. We waited about 15 min for our boat to take us to the cave system. Once there, a super quick 2 min walk and straight onto the smaller boat to enter the river. Highly suggest water shoes or similar as you will get wet getting out of the transfer boat, and wear shorts! One woman we saw wore jeans and she must have been so uncomfortable all day.

Back again in Intramuros as part of a shore excursion, revisited some sites seen in 2023 plus a few others that were not included in that excursion. On this occasion we visited San Agustin Church & Museum, Manila Cathedral, Plaza Roma, Plaza Isobel, Fort Santiago and Casa Manila Museum, Muralla Street, etc. Different guide and a different perspective but still the same historical theme pertaining to the historic walled area and adjacent.

Personally, I think Napcan is the most beautiful beach in ElNido, 3.5km of Paradise with an impressive coconut plantation right on the sand.
You can swim, run on the beach at sunset, plenty of space no matter if crowded, you can find your privacy.
It’s also equipped with sun beds if you’re looking for a more comfortable sun bath.
Don’t forget to enjoy a massage in one of the multiple massage boxes along the beach.
It worths the 30-40’ min drive from town, better if your rent a scooter and you enjoy by yourself, cheaper and faster than the smoggy and super noisy tuk tuk

Big Lagoon, one of the most visited spots in El Nido, is part of Tour A. The boat stops at a distance and you then go on kayaks to explore the place.

Kayangan Lake in Coron offers breathtaking views, but to experience it, you'll need to hike 360 steps half going up and half going down. The trail can be slippery, with sharp stones, but both wooden and stone stairs are provided to help ease the climb. The view at the top is well worth the effort! Along the way, your tour guide will pay a local fee, and it's important to respect the area's rules. You may encounter some dogs, but they're generally friendly just be cautious. Locals sell drinks and snacks, so bring some money if you'd like to buy something. The lake's water is 70% fresh and 30% seawater, so swim carefully. Always stay with your guide for safety, as the area is considered sacred by locals who believe in protective spirits.

The only decent place to yo in the South of Cebu is The Kawasan Falls in Badian. It is quite spoilt though compared to many years ago as they made it so commercial for tourist, and now you can only hi to the first falls. The rest for Canyoneering. Quite unfair but it is still worth going there. I just hope people maintain it's cleanliness. Filipinos are so bad in dumping their trash everywhere. Appalling attitude.

The day we went we were the only visitors. Our own slice of Paradise until about 3 pm when another couple arrived. The water was clear and warm. The beauty was extraordinary.
Visit Puka Beach on Boracay. It was worth the effort.

We did a 2 day trek in Banaue and Batad rice terraces with Jhun Ognayon (+63 935 153 1934). We had an amazing adventure walking through the forests and stunning rice terraces. It’s not for the faint of heart, with several areas having very narrow paths. But it was all worth it for the amazing views of these UNESCO heritage sites. They are a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of these communities. The views of the rice terraces from the top will be something that I will always remember.

I highly recommend Jhun. He is super responsive and too extreme care for our safety during the entire trek. I’m scared of heights but with his help I was able to make it through even the steepest paths. As a guide who grew up working in these rice terraces, he was also able to share his own personal experience with us and made the local community and culture even more real and interesting. You won’t be disappointed if you go with Jhun on this amazing adventure.

We went early on a Saturday morning. It was busy but not super busy. January 2025, and entrance fee was PHP 75 for an adult which was very reasonable. Have cash and small notes to hand. To some, yes it just looks like ruins but this is one of the oldest fortifications in Manila built by the Spanish conquistador Miguel López de Legazpi. There are some information boards in English but there are a number of historical landmarks in the area and it is easier to hire a guide to take you. Not that easy to navigate or get a taxi. A guide will cover the highlights. I know these are ruins, but I still think that they should be better maintained.
