The THREE whale sharks were definitely the highlight, though the dolphins, giant sea turtles, manatees, manta rays, and the world's largest living coral display within an aquarium were just as fantastic!
This place is amazing and the churaumi aquarium is really huge wherein you can see a different types of fishes, & sea creatures> one morething if you walk along down side of the hill you can see the beautiful sea...

This sounds like a lot of effort but the bus trip is really pretty past vineyards and so much water and fishing boats so it’s very enjoyable and the zoo really is amazing.
People whom are soso about zoos, this biopark will change your mind.
The hike is steep and maybe slightly challenging but if you want to see monkeys without hiking through nature a bit, go to the zoo.
Being wary of zoos and of every venue with animals on show, we were dubious about this monkey park, but it utterly exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic mid sized zoo
while traditional Zoos fence off and cage animals, the design of this Zoo is more focussed on allowing visitors to interact with the animals abit more.

Okichan Theater Motobu-cho
At noon morning, noon aquarium to see manatees, turtles, dolphins, afternoon to visit the aquarium staff.
We were managed to catch on right timing to watch the show when we came for the Churaumi Aquarium.
Asahiyama Zoo Asahikawa
The zoo is very big with lots of attractions, i.e. polar bears, hippopotamus, tigers with 2 cute little cubs, seals and penguins which is really rare back in our own country.
You can buy Asahiyama Zoo Ticket in JR information centres, which is a special set including the JR ticket between Sapporo/Asahikawa stations, the bus tickets between Asahikawa station/Asahiyama Zoo, and the tick...

We booked the 12.15 safari when we arrived at the park at 10am and found the 2 hours waiting was easily filled exploring the petting zoo and neighboring areas.
Anyway, this place has the most super cleanest lavatory compare to other park or zoo!
Huge tanks where you get to see 10+ dolphins, 2 orcas, 2 seals, 50+ penguins, 10+ turtles, 2 seals, 4 white whales, 5 stingrays closer than most aquariums will ever let you get Highlight was the whale playing with...
You can watch the orcas, dolphins and seals in two ways.. the outside open-air stadium where shows are being held and inside the aquarium with large panoramic viewing space of the tanks were they live.

Kamo Aquarium Tsuruoka
There were rock pools to explore and places to picnic a short walk from the aquarium alongside the furthest parking area towards car park exit.
Small aquarium with great views
Also, there were many other aquatic life like morays, eels and even mudskippers etc! Overall its small aquarium but houses over 70 penguins of 9 different species.
Amazing penguin aquarium
PLUS, while you walk around the aquarium, take note ur surroundings - they play soft music while you enjoy looking at swimming sea creatures.
Children will certainly enjoy the orca show while the adults will find the aquariums with rare species, like the gigantic sun fish, fascinating.
from that,i enjoyed the tropical aquarium!

An aquarium that features a lot of local sea creatures in the region.

This aquarium holds a good range of fish and sea life.
Great aquarium
The aquarium is reknown for their sharks and they have two massive tanks full of sharks of all different sizes and shapes, including some incredibly large sand tiger sharks.
Like most aquariums in Japan, there is little in the way of English signage, although you can usually get the names of the animals in any display.
Kodomo-no-Kuni Yokohama
This is a huge park with a mini zoo (with petting zoo), mini farm, lots of climbing playground equipments, mega slides, and a little wading stream and many other attractions for the littles.
It has everything: farm, playground, slides, place to eat, zoo, even a little wheel train cruizing around the park.

Umichurara Naha
We participated in the package tour- several sightseeing spots and a buffet lunch was included, very interesting and educational detail showcase in this aquarium, recommended the kids will love it very much!
A must-see, one of the best aquariums in the world
We went by car, and parking is reasonable at 1,000 yen, and entrance is a mere 800 yen for adults as this is a public zoo.
We have been to Ueno Zoo and Tama Zoo, and this one is our favorite.
Beautiful large and expansive zoo, with a variety of species.
Nagoya zoo is one of the best zoos in Japan, it is large but well projected, which makes you walk short distances between the animal enclosures.

The feature of this aquarium is show of sea animals, sea lion or walrus.
Best collection in an aquarium.
Amazing place for kids, if you are staying at niseko this is the nearest zoo-aquarium like! a great place for a slow afternoon^^
This place is so underrated, compared to Asahiyama Zoo.
Great view with it's coastal location, coupled with fun shows makes this an excellent aquarium to visit.
Compared to the big aquariums, this place definitely lacks variety of sea creatures however Kinosaki marine world is more enjoyable to go to because it has an awesome scenic backdrop of the ocean and crashing tida...
The Zoo houses a wide variety of animals and birds which are separated as per their natural home continents in designated areas within the zoo.
This zoo has such success with their breeding programs (especially storks) that they supply other zoos & wildlife centers with animals.
It gives you access also to Umitamago aquarium and includes bus tickets too.
I have been to the Takasakiyama Natural Zoo on four occasion between 1990 and 2016.
Nasu Animal Kingdom Nasu-machi
Good Zoo for your Children !
