Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a great, personal tour of Hong Kong highlights; this is a full day, walking tour so be prepared. Our guide was Edmond - fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He is personable and knowledgeable; we learned a lot from him about Hong Kong and life in the area. We moved around the city via the MTR (underground), buses, trams, and walking. You can buy the one day tourist pass or an Octopus debit card for the public transportation.

We started the day at Victoria Peak for great views of the harbor and city. We took the tram to the top as it is the fastest route. Edmond explained the city history, highlights and regions. We then went to the hectic area of Central with shops, museums, and lots of people. Next, we went to another neighborhood on Hong Kong island to visit markets and eat lunch at a local restaurant, Edmond helped us select local dishes.

After the lunch break, we visited the Kowloon area on the mainland for a walk around a busy neighborhood with lots of open markets selling almost anything. This is so different from the USA. We concluded the day with a walk around another neighborhood and visited a public housing museum. We returned to our hotel via taxi.

We had a great time on the tour, which was enhanced by Edmond's personality and knowledge. Again, this is a full day tour with lots of walking (about 15,000 steps on iPhone health app); it would be difficult to execute otherwise. The customer can customize what is visited, but we went with the guide's recommendations. We communicated via WhatsApp, which was most helpful throughout our month long trip to SE Asia.

    Highly recommended tour.

This is a “must do” for anyone visiting Hong Kong. Our guide Siu Wai (Sandy) led us on a wonderful tasting tour through the dynamic Tin Hau district on Hong Kong island. She crafted the tour from a local’s perspective and not only was the food incredible, but the way she intertwined the history and culture of each dish was truly fascinating. Don’t miss this great tour option on your next trip.

The trip was fantastically well-planned; we saw a lot of exiting things that we would never have experienced on our own, even though we have lived in Hong Kong for a while, and we learned a lot about Hong Kong’s culture. Angels was a fantastic host.

Highly recommend it! Absolutely worth the expierence and the money! Great view on the skyline of Hongkong. The Boat had super comfy lounge chairs. The free drinks (white wine) was very good. Even though it was 20'C the wind was strong and chilly. The staff immediately handed out blankets! It was just amazing! Would do it again and recommend this tour. Thank you for the great expierence!

Such a fun day. You get to see everything in Macao and the ferry ride home was a great way to finish. Very affordable price considering everything that is included and the guides were so lovely. The buffet lunch was also delicious. Definitely recommend.

Loved the cruise! Exactly what I was hoping it would be, a chill night with cold beer and lots of pretty lights. We both enjoyed it as a finale to our Valentine's Day date! Boat is pretty crowded though, which we didn't mind, but something to be aware of. Also, bottom deck seems better than upper deck for views, as bottom deck gives you a near 360° panoramic view of the skyline.

*Note: this experience is cheaper from the Aqua Luna website. I realized that too late and regretted buying on here.

Amy and I began our day out at the Ngong. Ping cable car which afforded us fabulous views over the islands and mountainous terrain with Amy pointing out places of interest including the new Macau Road tunnel. We then made our way leisurely through the Ngong Ping village, browsing in the shops and visiting the temples. Amy was very knowledgeable about these wonderful buildings and told me about the history of the figures and decorations. We then went to the big Buddha which sadly we couldn’t climb up to because the steps were being renovated. We then took a bus down the mountain,to the Tai`O fishing village. This is like a step back in time and is a delightful and picturesque place to visit with quaint, narrow streets full of stalls and little shops where everyone seemed to know Amy. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch in a small café overlooking the river that I would never have found, but Amy knew the owner and we were royally treated. Amy is a very friendly tour guide who is informative and makes everything interesting for you. I can’t recommend her highly enough as you will enjoy a fabulous time with this lady!

We had a great day with Nik from City Unscripted
We were met on time, with a super convenient hotel pick up. The tour was completely personalized to what we wanted. Saw a chinese temple, incredible Zen gardens and nunnery including a fascinating exhibition on traditional pagoda wood architecture, waterfront promenade, avenue of stars, star ferry, old police and prison compound and so much more.
Learnt a lot about Hong Kongs history and heritage, as well as an eyeopener as to getting around the city using the subway and ate at a local eatery with delicious noodle soup, which we would never have found on our own.
Highly recommend for travelers not scared of walking; and looking for an authentic experience.

The boat tour was really fun!!! We did the sunset cruise at 6:30 pm and it was the perfect time to see the beautiful Hong Kong skyline at daylight and during the night. It’s an awesome tour to discover Hong Kong from the waterside.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We got a drink on board and the actual boat trip was even around an hour long.
Great experience to start or end your city trip!

Very well organised, and guided hike. The glorious weather also made the hike all the more special.

The hike is approx 10k and fairly easy with great vista points for photograph opportunities.

    Thank you!
